affordable Azuree Soleil
Today, I sprayed Estee Lauder Azuree Soleil on one arm and Avon Tahitian Holiday on the other. If I'd had someone else to do the spraying for me while I closed my eyes, I am not sure I could have told them apart!
They have a big beachy smell - warm sand and gardenia-based suntan oil and coconut. Both are still noticeable up close at 7 hours and counting. While they're sweet and contain Big White Flowers (my trickiest category), they're smooth and tranquil without the diva-esque quality BWFs often have to my nose. At times throughout the day one or the other smelled a bit stronger or sharper, but the overall effect and wear was the same.
Both scents are discontinued. But on US eBay, AS is rare and starts at $100/bottle. TH is plentiful and starts at $10/bottle. (Note that Azuree Soleil was a limited edition launched in 2007. Estee Lauder replaced it with the similar Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent in 2008, the same year that Avon launched Tahitian Holiday.) Sometimes you get what you pay for. Luckily, sometimes you get more!
