Jeez, I couldn’t resist to such a temptation!
I am in love with the original Azzaro Pour Homme masterpiece, which is a powerful fougére suitable for fall and wintertime, so I decided to buy this flanker Summer Edition 2013 that I found at a bargain price. What attracted me is that the perfume was built around over 320 raw materials of the original fragrance, enriched with a mix of mandarin, lemon, Artemisia, petitgrain, and cumin. Jeez, I couldn't resist such a temptation!
By the way, what do I smell here? APH Summer. When first applied, it hits you with a stunning combination of citrus and minty notes, which squelches all other notes for a while. Allegedly, that is the contribution of mandarin, lemon, and Artemisia.
After five minutes, petitgrain and all of the original fougére notes begin to make their debut. Here you recognize the unique beauty of APH.
An hour or so later, a final phase starts, with a bite of mild cumin joining the party. From this point forward, a spicier than fougére scent graces your presence for at least 4-5 hours.
Yeah, I am so sorry and disappointed. That's the disadvantage of this flanker: on my skin, the projection is pretty close to my arms, and the longevity is not that good, at least not all day long like the original. If you want to wear it at work, and you have a chance to keep it with you, I suggest you reapply late noon to smell good till work is over and you are back home.
In my opinion, both the perfume and the bottle are good and deserve nine stars, no question about it. Instead, I gave four stars to the bad longevity and the weak sillage. All in all, I do recommend it.
