Fresh Freesia Spritzed with Citrus
DANSE DES NYMPHEAS is the freesia entry in the 2010 series launch of Berdoues Les Contes Bucoliques. So right away, you know where you stand: are you with freesia or are you against freesia? Do you enjoy Dior J'ADORE, Bond no 9 ASTOR PLACE and the many other freesia-centric frags which have been released in recent history?
Freesia lovers will rejoice, no doubt, to find such a reasonably priced fresh freesia soliflore in a charming bottle with a bulb atomizer. Others will want to move swiftly on to the members of this series featuring other more likeable flowers. The unique aspect of this particular freesia, although it is very simple, is the citrus, which, again, however, is going be a plus or a minus depending upon how it plays out on one's skin.
I'm neutral about freesia and the citrus here does not really jolt me from my neutrality either way. I'd describe this as a somewhat watery freesia fragrance best suited for springtime. A light, aqueous solution of freesia garnished with a few spritzes of citrus is what I smell. Would I wear this, if I had it? Probably now and then. Will I buy a bottle? No.
