It exists after all
Because of the beautiful story of Ponticus (I love his wonderful stories), I came to this fragrance.

First I thought that there is no longer, but was taught better by research. There is him yet, how nice, therefore: read, bought, received, tested.

WOW, the fragrance is really not from bad parents. A comparison with the earlier Opium actually imposes itself, only, I find this one is less, let's say, "obtrusive, bulky".
It's already very spice-heavy, but of a pleasant kind, softened by the subtle florals.

I've been sitting here with this for quite some time and it smells more like roses, violets or jasmine? Much later the spices come out, clove, cinnamon, vanilla, a little incense, these are so the good things I can smell. All in all, a wonderfully fine spicy-floral-vanilla fragrance that has nothing leathery or animalic about it at all, at least not for me.

So a rich perfume that could be classified as both Oriental and Chypres, although I tend more to the Oriental, because the flowers and spices push themselves to the fore.

I think this one is gorgeous, better than Opium and almost better than Obsession.

17.10.2021 -Correction: Have the now sprayed on my husband, I must correct myself, it smells much more floral, the rose and jasmine are in the foreground, so yet nix with Obsession.
Already funny how the perceptions can change, as soon as another skin type is affected.

Women's evening - forever young
Prolog:
After critical voices have emerged in the environment of the last convivial evening and thereby also the term of the "girl" was negatively goutiert (Heidi Klum's girls, Nazi time), there is from today now a women's evening in which our dear friend Jacques, alias Jackie, may participate, although he is not a woman. Apart from that there are no flat and hollow stereotypes as lesbians, gays or straights, respectively women, appearing here! All are quite lovable and respected characters, people just like you and me with many different and personally applied facets, maybe a bit over the top, but it is a satire after all.

No feedback was received from Miss Elizabeth, our primary school teacher to the wartsab group women's evening regarding the planned next meeting. Jackie was the first to have reasonable concern and indeed, after two days it was certain, Miss Elisabeth had succumbed to a stroke shortly before her retirement. There was great consternation and general sadness.

Since Elisabeth, apart from her brother, who also took care of all the formalities, no longer had any relatives, the women's group decided to arrange the next evening as a kind of remembrance and appreciation for the departed. In order not to dissolve into melancholy, it was agreed that each of them would tell a nice, rather uplifting story or anecdote about Fräulein Elisabeth, if she knew one. It was also agreed to wear her favourite perfume, Kobako by Bourjois, to this meeting.

Kobako, a perfume often overlooked and underestimated, is a very inexpensive perfume in a simple bottle and fit perfectly to the person and lifestyle of our teacher. She was very modest, frugal, often took a back seat, but was inwardly full of energy, strength, thirst for action and equipped with an alert mind. This strength in this quiet, reserved person found an outlet via her perfume Kobako, shouting loud and far "here I am" and I like being here. This discrepancy between her frugal demeanor and her fragrant, oriental-spicy presence also affirmed her uniqueness. Her endearing nonchalance made thereby even after hours, the creamy-warm, but powerfully spicy-sweet-woody aura accompanying her with the light, enigmatic severity of the Chypres, neither intrusive nor unpleasant!

Jackie recalled their first encounters at rehab back gymnastics. The physiotherapist in charge was a very masculine person, constantly covered in a tart cloud of aftershave. Jackie found him very likeable at the time, but didn't dare and this didn't go unnoticed by Elisabeth. In conversation she encouraged him to make the first move and in doing so he smelled for the first time her, after gymnastics, freshly applied kobako, the creamy warm sweetness with the subtle soap, which then merged into the lush spicy notes. These oriental spices led by the aromatic, somewhat pungent clove and extracts of vanilla provide an intense feeling of well-being. With the gymnastics type, however, it has become then but nothing.

As a hairdresser still remembered that he tried to convince our Miss with little hairdresser tricks several times to try a slightly more peppy hairstyle, in vain. And she insisted on the Fräulein, was also never married, lived alone, but probably had some relationships. Melody Vögele-Schmitz, our old 68er, told of funny experiences on a school trip in which she had participated, supporting our teacher as a chaperone. Everyone described Elisabeth's sometimes annoying habit of always paying with cash at the pharmacy, kiosk, butcher and optician. Klara Sicht also reported on the new reading glasses made for her. They absolutely had to fit into the old cash register frame she was used to, just no visible changes.

In this context, Klara also recalled the lingering, spicy oriental scent when fitting Elisabeth's reading glasses in the optician's shop. The smell aroused slightly Christmas feelings, if, yes, if there was not the oak moss present from the outset enigmatically ground the perfume, in the warsten sense of the word, something. This is joined by restrained caramel and, in the long course, stronger, balsamic-sweet, leathery-vanilla notes. All ever mindful of the overbearing, deliciously stimulating and ever-present spice opulence. The fragrance is a real heavyweight!

Kobako came on the market in 1936, making it older than Fräulein Elisabeth ever became. She always used the 1982 variant, which is still available today for free. Such a bottle has butcher shop saleswoman Bärbel alone and quietly dropped into the small grave shortly before the urn burial and covered with some earth. As a loving gesture of all for eternity. When she told this to the round, still a few tears ran and as also the magnificent fruit punch, Elisabeth's favorite cocktail, was coming to an end, the group slowly and quite silently parted for today.

Miss Elisabeth will be missed here in the women's circle. Thank you for the respectful company!

Opium mother who makes it crack
Since the original opium is unfortunately no longer available due to new formulations and the only good dupe, "O. P." has now been replaced by a successor, I went some time ago on the search for a fragrance that smells largely similar. Well, one that really comes to the original I unfortunately haven't found, but a lot of interesting scents that go very strongly in the direction of the original
So is Kobako, an intense fragrance potpouri of the most diverse (especially spicy) notes. The opening is very intense and soapy, after which the different spices slowly appear. Find an extremely successful, heavy fragrance that still fits in all seasons, if from the time of day more suitable for the evening hours. Unbelievable, however, is the price (about 10 €) for the best quality is offered here. For fans of the former Opium (EDP) or Dali (PDT) in any case worth a test.
