How wrong can I be sometimes!!!
Bulgari lounched the series of "Teas" for quite a long time and I always avoided even trying them because I do not like to smell like tea or coffee or chocolate. Recently I received a sample of Eau Parfumee au The Rouge not in a vial, like all those samples they give you with a purchase, or a small tissue square like the Fragonard samples, but in the size of a small towel. I am not kidding. And since it was a small towel I used it after the shower just to get rid of it. The next second I thought I was smelling Behr paint with primer in the mix. It was as if I went back to the day when, out of curiosity to see if I was able to paint a room all by myself, I did it successfully with that kind of paint. Do not ask me what my thoughts were about Bulgari's Eau Parfumee au The Rouge! And what if this smell of paint lasts for a day like the Behr? Next thing was to run to my Parfumo.net and write an acidic review about it. I even settled for the title: " Not my cup of tea!"
How wrong could I have been, my friends and how much the first impression does not always count!
In less than five minutes, a beautiful, warm scent was calming me down. The Rooibos tea smell receeded and the sweetness of orange, the freshness of bergamot rounded the composition. Perfection.
A scent for cold evenings, for cool mornings, for those days when stress is unbearable.
Before the musc settled the foundation, the almond scent came strong and beautiful. Beautiful.
Longevity? Good. Unexpectedly good. Sillage? Not so much but I did not care because I wanted to keep it close to my skin and not share it with anybody around.
I think this is one of the longest reviews I wrote about a perfume and I coul keep on writting but it is a review and not a blog.
Happy to share with you my discovery.
