Fine, but then also gone again
It would be one of my favorite perfumes, would last longer than a few minutes. What remains is a shallow amber smell that sadly reminds you that you could have smelled so good.

Neither India nor saffron, neither magic nor sensuality
Mandarin is there, plastic mandarin, but mandarin, fair enough. But where are the flowers they promised? Tuberose? Osmanthus? Hello? I can't smell them at all, just some faint chemical flowery mix, mimicking the real thing in a somewhat metallic way. And saffron? I'm fed up with those lies manufactured by the perfume industry. Saffron does not smell like the artificial aromachemical used in "Indian Garnet". "Magic?" "Sensuality" - as promsised in the advertisment? Not there. And India? You know the answer. Just another commercial bubble.
This said, "Omnia Indian Garnet" is an average, rather fresh, slightly flowery scent with low staying-power, a pronounced mandarin top-note, a very misleading name and a general lack of personality.

There is no mystery here...
In the Bvlgari advertising, they say that Indian Garnet is an exotic and mysterious scent.... well, this *could have* been so exotic and mystical - what happened Bvlgari? Synthetic orange in the opening along with some heady white florals. This isn't at all what I was expecting and if there is any amber here I'm having a tough time smelling it. There's a little bit of a metallic vibe to this - not unlike some others in the Bvlgari line-up. This one goes on strong but is not long lasting. Probably a good thing because it's disappointing to me.

Loads and loads of orange with a spicy saffron drydown and a nice fleshy osmanthus note.
