Give joy with a pure heart
In the search for fragrances, whether for him or her, you try out the most diverse scents and quickly find out which direction you feel comfortable with and which ones you can eliminate.
It is a little more difficult when you want to find a suitable fragrance for someone else. You should already know the person in question well. This can otherwise quickly go to the pants. Fragrances are something very personal after all.
Sometimes one would like to make a dear person happy and maybe even contribute to cheer him up a bit.

So I came across a few years ago in search of a beautiful new fragrance for my dear mum This was at a time when she was not well and everything around her seemed dark and bleak.
A serious accident robbed her of her cheerfulness for a long time, threw her physically and mentally quite off track. We stood helplessly beside her and did everything we could to make her forget the bad things. It succeeded very laboriously and only so bit by bit, with a lot of patience and distraction.
And it is also said that a beautiful and carefully selected fragrance can help to brighten the mood. Anyway, I wanted to try it.

Heavy serious fragrances would not be suitable for this. There should be something cheerful, radiant, friendly. If possible not too complicated, that was already enough. My mother does not like heavy opulent scents anyway However, since I know my mom's fragrance preferences very well and she always trusts my judgement, after some searching I chose the beautiful and fine J'adore EdP.

This fragrance with its beautiful and uncomplicated floral notes should then hit the mark.
Rose is always very welcome in fragrances. With its beguiling and uplifting scent it sets the tone here. But the beautiful rose is cushioned in combination with jasmine and slightly changed in tone, into the slightly sweetish.
With a hint of Ylang-Ylang, the whole thing becomes an almost innocent purity.
Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang are both quite luxuriant smelling representatives. But here at J'adore they are composed so discreetly that they don't seem obtrusive. I can only smell sandalwood in the base, the scent remains flowery with this fine soap note
The theme with these very pure and as if freshly washed appearing rose scents should only become really popular some years later, when I think of the extremely clean almost clinical appearing rose scents of Chloé or Escada, which came up in 2007 and enjoyed great popularity and are partly still sold well.
J'adore was already a kind of pioneer there in the late 90s.

One can certainly criticize this rather soapy scent, also the very linear course, because the scent does not change much and remains radiantly clean and pure the whole time.
I really like it here. In my opinion, fragrances don't always have to be lush, complex and highly complicated with the most unusual fragrance components. It is also allowed to shift down a gear or two and you can also enjoy the smaller and simpler things.

On my mother, J'adore smells gently rosy with a touch of the finest noble luxury soap and lasts very long, the scent can be perceived for a good 8 hours, on my clothes you can smell it the next day.
J'adore remains gentle, friendly, cheerful and radiates a beautiful warmth all the time. Nothing stings, nothing scratches, nothing bites.
The flacon is also very nicely designed and a real treat for the hand. Maybe this design, together with the very elaborate advertising, is a bit thickly applied for this rather pretentious fragrance and possibly promises too much.
But you shouldn't be dazzled by that.
I don't know of any occasions and seasons that J'adore would not suit, if one is inclined towards this fragrance.

My mother liked the scent from the first moment and I was very happy to find that it improved her mood a lot. She said herself that it was like a fine ray of sunshine on her.
J'adore has thus become one of her favourites (besides Roses de Chloé) and I am sure that she wears it on one of the Christmas days and she will be surrounded by this friendly, pure radiance.

I have a special relationship with J'adore because of the great quality of always bringing a smile to my mother's face and letting her forget the physical impairments every now and then. And to my mother anyway The consequences of the accident can no longer be cured, but she has learned to deal with it and to take everything back with her heart-warming humour and to no longer see everything as black.
So it has been shown that even a less complex fragrance can spread joy.

These words will be my last comment in 2018. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have given me their attention during my first six months here and wish all those who have come to know me a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2019!

Je l'adore? No! Mais ça me plaît un peu
The day before yesterday the cashier threw a sample of "J'adore" into my bag at the turquoise. I was happy about the test possibility and sprayed myself already on the parking lot courageously a weakling of the big name on my forearm. The big name aroused great hopes, although I always associated Dior with something very elegant and feminine, even a certain noblesse and was therefore already prepared that the fragrance could not really suit me.
Well, what follows now can certainly be called a self-fulfilling prophecy. It smells of a restrained citric cloud of floral delicacy. If I had to interpret "J'adore" musically, I would take the flute. Light tones dominate the fragrance, if it had a colour it would be light yellow with a pastel note. I smell ylang-ylang and a lot of jasmine, but the wooden base doesn't want to show itself to me. And so it blooms silently and quietly. I miss any depth. "J'adore" has as many corners and edges as a gym ball. I feel strange in my skin with this scent. That's how ladies smell when everything is perfect. From the hairstyle to the nails to the costume, to which no lint sticks. Fresh laundry comes to mind, clean as a whistle. As I ponder, I remove some white cat hair from my black woolen sweater.
Is the scent erotic? Not at all. It is the scent of an ethereal being who wants to smell fresh, clean and smart beyond any sexuality. There is nothing at all corrupt about it that wanted to point to undreamt-of depths behind the accurate façade of its wearer. I can well imagine the fragrance on very feminine women up to the age of 40 who have to do their job in a trouser suit or costume and at the same time want to look friendly and serious. "J'adore" is not obtrusive or even penetrating, but always remains fine and polite. This understatement can also be seen in the fragrance, which is linear like a string of pearls (which, by the way, wouldn't harmonize badly with "J'adore"). Sillage is perceptible at arm's length with an appropriate dosage, but here too the fragrance does not deviate from its restrained credo. After about four hours, the fragrance rapidly degrades in terms of shelf life and is only perceptible very close to the body.
"J'adore" is a fragrance that is likely to cause vehement rejection among the fewest noses. It is pleasing, a friendly, clear fragrance for lovers of floral chords, for whom the word extravagance has something immanently threatening about it.
All the more the naming irritates me. With the French "J'adore" I associate affect-controlled devotion, sensual desire and a tiny bit of animal instinct. I would have called the fragrance "Mais oui, ça me plaît un peu". But that's probably why I'm not in Dior's marketing department

Ja tebja ljublju - Ode to the long-necked woman
Without wanting to start at this point again a lecture about inner values:
I have always given "J'adore" a wide berth. The golden rings around the neck of the bottle have reminded me in itself too much of the so-called "long-neck" or also "giraffe neck women".
Therefore, I found the bottle repulsive, he somehow celebrated an exotic, but at the same time absolutely unhealthy ideal of beauty, which even today has the consequence that women of the affected tribe (originally from Myanmar, but now very often based in Thailand) are treated like exhibits in a zoo.
Well. rehabilitated by no less an alien than E.T. I found the bottle then funny sweet - like an E.T. suffering from flatulence because of his excessive Smarties consumption - so still not my Beuteschema.
And today? Today I think of the sinfully expensive drink in the bottle with the gold neck, which a certain Signor Il heartbreaker and Tshajbukoshka opened, so that the latter then dumps away about three quarters of the contents the next day, because she does not know what she should cook with champagne and does not drink alone.

Is that what decadence smells like? Is there gold in the bottle?
Nope, no, ma noooo!
That's the smell of a flower - or hundreds of flowers. Soap made from flowers, soap in the shape of flowers as a gift. Tshajbukoshka knows a few businesswomen who earn extra money on the side with this sweet idea of household art. And this Dior would suit them too. It's kept relatively simple, but not boring, and shines with understatement. That's what makes it so fascinating.
Applied after showering, it potentiates the feeling of cleanliness and grooming with itself. If I am greeted for the hint of a moment of freshness that makes me think of citrus, jasmine shajbukoshka and her friend ylang-ylang show who is in charge as they go on. They are friendly determiners, not choleric bosses.

"Ja tebja ljublju (I love you)
Ja zhit' bez tebja ne mogu (I can't live without you)
Oui, oui moi je t'aime
Сhaque fois que tu te réveilles
Yes, yes, I love you
It's so easy to say and to do
I, I love you
Because only you make me [glow]!"
This ode sounds a bit funny, almost smug, coming from the mouth of one Adriano Celentano - and I had to listen to the song twice to realize that the grandmaster has taken hold of the Russian language here and what he was saying.
With "J'adore" one rather beams so inwardly.
So to the title "J'adore" I would like to say, Non lo so. I don't know.
"J'adore" is really beautiful, classic, elegant, timeless and ageless, but I wouldn't dedicate a serious ode in the style of Il Volo's "Grande Amore" to it.
For such "J'adore "s, here on Parfumo they invented the "ever-walker" (or the ever-walker), that's for sure.
Here we have an absolutely unexotic beauty, which one can admire in contrast to the long-necked women gladly of the öfteren.

old body lotion, or je n'adore pas
I don't love this scent, but I don't hate it either. My partner's comment when I put my wrist under his nose sums it up quite well: "Smells like our bathroom. Hmm, so not bad or anything. But not good either." ¯_(ツ)_/¯

As much as I like other Dior fragrances, I am disappointed by this mild soapy water. For me the fragrance unfortunately has the recognition value of a deodorant, or any shower cubicle in any city: it smells universal and unspectacular. A fragrance that everyone could really wear, a common fragrance after nobody turns around either.

It doesn't have to be anything bad, you certainly won't bother anyone with it, because J'adore isn't pushy at all. It's just not good for me and I can't understand all the good reviews. Fortunately, tastes are different!

J'adore as my first attempt to become an elegant lady
I might get a little emotional with this review simply because this fragrance has such great significance for me and I used up my first bottle exactly today.

Let's start with the history of this fragrance:

The fragrance was designed by Calice Becker in 1999 and the bottle was designed by Hervé van der Streten. Christian Dior always wanted to depict the modern woman with his creations, but not deny her femininity, because a woman can be both: strong and feminine. With the fragrance "J'adore", the famous fashion house has also succeeded perfectly (in my opinion).

Unlike many perfume classics from the 90s, this fragrance gets the perfect balancing act between seductive freshness (without being tangy) and at the same time a perfect lightness, which I have never smelled before. For my nose, most fragrances in this direction are too effervescent, tangy and just too featureless, but still totally overloaded. This one, however, has a certain complexity because you have to try very hard to smell the individual notes. He is completely coherent in itself and smells of a feeling, a behavior, an attitude that is neither too sassy, sweet, rebellious.

The fragrance underlines for me the elegance and femininity of a woman who knows exactly where she is going and what she is up to. Whether business woman or housewife, skater girl or ballerina, it gives a boost of confidence that seems totally real and authentic.

A fragrance for every woman.

PS: Some would say, J'adore is only what for women from 20, I have him already with 15 up and down worn and must say that I find him also there just right, as he also no too strong sillage, you get a light touch off, but nothing too strong thus also perfect at a young age.

Definitv a fragrance that I will always repurchase!

J’adore. I adore it. Be adored. On my skin it’s jasmines and a touch of orange blossom. Intoxicating sunny spring tree blooms in the Garden.
