Straight forward almond
This is a straight forward almond fragrance, smells like almond extract to me. I'm pretty certain it's mostly just benzaldehyde formulated with a little bit of vanilla to soften it. Keep in mind, benzaldehyde is the same chemical in cherries, and in cough syrup. So, if this fragrance doesn't work for you, it may just be certain scent memories triggering. Or, you're not a fan of almond specifically formulated heavily with benzaldehyde, which is ok too.

I view this as a great layering scent, instead of a stand alone perfume to wear. Paired with a creamier almond like Whipped Almond from Mix:Bar, or even a rich vanilla like Bon Bons a la Vanille from Kyse, makes the nuttiness in this really pop.

Roasted almonds from Absurdistan
Now for the first time I'm really pissed off with Demeter/The Library of Fragrance.

What did they think about the shelf life of the fragrance "Almond" (almond)?

Yo, sure. It's a "just" EdC. All right, but this absurdly puny shelf life is a ver...joke
My annoyance is further increased by the fact that I ordered "Almond" in a larger TLOF order with "Pistachio Ice Cream".
The scents smell very similar, the shelf life is miles apart.

Where "Pistachio Ice Cream" really gets into your skin and won't let you go for hours, Almond loses all his power after 2-3 minutes and then disappears completely.

But first to the fragrance itself.

Sprayed on, "Almond" IMMEDIATELY gives you a sweet-nutty-almond note, reminiscent of roasted almonds, marzipan and Christmas stollen.
This is such an authentically beautiful and warm scent, which in no way comes across as sticky sweet.
It really smells heavenly.

The more I resent this EdC's lack of durability. This is unforgivable, especially because Demeter shows that they can do MUCH better
Therefore I strongly advise against buying. Do you have the opportunity to test "Almond", please feel free.
You will love the great scent - provided you can do something with the fragrance -

Buying? Absolutely not. It's a waste of money.

Better take the alternative mentioned above (comments on this from me will follow).
It has a few more facets to offer and above all has much more staying power.

My conclusion about Almond: Fragrance Top, the rest megaflop!

Tupperware
I'll start by saying that, so far, the only scents I've actually really liked by Demeter have been the "Pistachio Ice Cream", "Wet Garden" and JellyBelly's "Blueberry Muffin". Others I've tried have verged on being OK, but not great.... "Strawberry Ice Cream" smells OK - like a cheap tub of strawberry ice cream, "Leather" smells like whatever it is they spray in new cars or on new carpet.... "Neroli" and "Tiger Lily" lack headiness/depth/warmth but are pleasant, "Jasmine" freshens up clothing nicely.

This "Almond" scent doesn't even smell good enough to be in one of those children's "make your own fragrance" kits.

"Almond" doesn't smell like green, fresh almond, doesn't smell like marzipan, doesn't smell like sugarcoated almonds, amaretto, OR almond essence.
It smells like melting plastic DIPPED IN some watered down almond essence that's been stored in a cupboard in mother's kitchen since the Eighties.
Or maybe even some cake batter (OK, at a push I'll go with biscotti) that's been in a tupperware since the Eighties.
This is weak, sugary, plasticky crap and there's absolutely no other way of looking at it.
