Oh baby baby Balla Balla! back to the past
You have to be pretty crazy to even consider a perfume called "Baby Shampoo" as a 45-year-old guy.
I'm stupid, no doubt about it. But I'm also an old romantic
But let's start over.
About a month ago I became aware of the Library of Fragrance series through Parfumo (as usual). First very carefully...
Vanilla ice cream? OK, have I ever seen or can I imagine in a perfume somewhere Neroli? Sure, why not? Pizza? Uh, what? Zombie? Ah, well... that must have been stupid was my thought.
In any case, the people at TLOF are thinking about how to create unusual fragrances.
Then my first fragrance sample... "Salt Air" Kabooom. A jackpot right away! Wow, it's fantastic.
This of course has literally set a scent mark.
By now I have... no idea... 12? Fragrances of them. No one has ever been able to keep up with Salt Air.
But stop. That doesn't mean others aren't good. On the contrary
So this is supposed to be about "baby shampoo" now. And not that non-squeaky - mostly blue - stuff you use to wash babies' hair, but actually about an eau de cologne.
It sounds so stupid, I had to try it
Well...Each of the children who are out of baby age probably reminisce about how sweet and beautiful the time was That's exactly how it is with me, of course.
My son...meanwhile 18 (sniff) you hardly see anymore, in love with the internet, GTA V Online, Dark Souls, Battelfield and Co.
This now giant guy used to be a little baby in need of protection? Yeah, as a matter of fact, he was Time is running out, not only do you age yourself. The world around you is changing rapidly (not only for the better). And so, of course, your own child is changing as well.
What remains are photos and memories of that time...and while I'm writing this I have a lump in my throat
Pooh, breathe. Concentrate. Keep writing...
"Baby Shampoo" lives up to its name 100%. It is soft, white-floral, fresh and discreetly sweet If you have no associations with baby shampoo, this is simply a pleasant everyday fragrance
Also "Baby Shampoo" shows no corners and edges, it changes only minimally, it stands by what it wanted to be from the beginning.
The shelf life is really very good for an EdC, as is the sillage. Also the pillow is happy about a spray, it freshens up and leaves a super pleasant smell, which encourages to fall asleep
And so I wear this fragrance without being cautious, revel in memories and distract myself from the one or other everyday worries.
And the initial question remains...why do I now occasionally - but very gladly - wear this fragrance?
Who knows, maybe the answer is hidden in the text above...
