Fruit + Flowers + Spice = How did this go wrong?
To my nose this perfume is a fruity floral based on very prominent wood and musk notes in the base.
It opens with a blast of juicy pears and peppers. Very soon after the initial dry down, gardenia pokes its head to the surface. In this phase it smells strongly of pears, peppers, gardenias, and woods. The dry down was mixture of pears, peppers, musk, and strong woods with a hint of flowers.
Sillage: Moderate
Lasting Power: 4 hours
Better worn in: Fall/Winter
I bought this solely on some reviews indicating that it’s a cheaper alternative to Dior Addict. I love Addict and, since I’m on a budget, thought this could be a decent substitute for it. No such chance. This fragrance is not remotely close to Addict, though it holds its own charms on the right person. Recommend a skin test before you commit to the whole bottle.
