Interesting Facts
Dr. Erno Laszlo, a dermatologist of Hungarian origin, opened his first beauty salon in Budapest in 1927 and is still considered a pioneer of modern skin care. In 1939 he emigrated to New York, and there too he had great success with his Institute of Scientific Cosmetology. The rich and beautiful were soon among his clientele. The list of stars and celebrities is endless: Marilyn Monroe, Gloria Vanderbilt, Audrey Hepburn, Greta Garbo, the Kennedys, Barbra Streisand, Diane Keaton, Madonna, Sting and Woody Allan love or loved the beauty treatments and products of the house. They could afford to keep a strict client list, and not everyone got an appointment with Laszlo.

In 1973 Erno Laszlo died of heart failure, but his cosmetics are still known and loved today. This was certainly helped by photos from the estate of Marilyn Monroe, where you can see a number of Laszlo cosmetic products on her dressing table.

Since 2002, the company has belonged to Cradle Holding, which also owns the Penhaligon's brand, among others.

Laszlo launched only one fragrance in 1989: "Evere". However, this has not been produced for a while.
