a scented watercolour
The house Fragonard still has very beautiful flower scents in its program.
Fragrances, which were created without much ballyhoo, only with a lot of love and craftsmanship and which delight me again and again.
(Yes, it does not always have to be "scented caviar" from houses with impressive sounding names!)
While "Marché aux Fleurs" was my first walk with this brand across the flower market of Nice, "Pois de Senteur" is an early summer bouquet of flowers, loosely distributed in a simple glass, which stands for a fragrance-watercolour model.
Everything is prepared: a virgin canvas, various brushes and a paintbox as we know it from school. Only hard black and bright white are missing here.
Bergamot (will perfumers have eradicated it one day?), violet leaf and ripe, juicy peach aroma form an already delightful foundation: tastefully mixed and applied with broad brush strokes.
On this basis, lilies of the valley and florets are generously painted in sweeping lines and in the delicate colours of purple, white and pink, and fragrant vetches with their mobile light green climbing shoots are finely entwined.
These fragrances flow harmoniously and easily into each other: they greet the first summer days, the sun, the butterflies and the song of the many birds in a quiet and friendly way; they wave to the white clouds in the bright sky.
A few creamy white dabs of vanilla here, a few drops of sandalwood oil there and sprinkled over everything as if with a light powder puff, musk.
Ready is "Pois de Senteur"!
Not spectacular, not luxurious: no, simple summery joie de vivre was filled into this flacon!
Of course sillage and durability are not great. But, I beg you:
The early summer is a fleeting scent that, like butterflies, is like a buzz of laughter and joy!
If we want to catch it, we have to spray it from time to time. Well, and ...
Outside, November is spreading: "Pois de Senteur" spreads quietly fragrant joy, light and hope.
It's spring again!
All life will begin again: just wait and see!
This is the catchy message of "Pois de Senteur"!
