More Little Panda than Big Bamboo Bear
Bamboo is from my grandma's vintage box. Many flacons have come this way into my possession.
It's amazing how opulent and radiant these fragrances used to be and still are today, even though they were very cheap to buy, even relative to wages at the time.
I just remember Mouson soap, for me the epitome of luxury, always in an extra box meant for special days.
For us, the Kaloderma in the green and white cardboard box was enough, according to the packaging with glycerin, rice powder and honey jelly.
Bamboo opens after application to the skin not at all shaving water-like, but with an ambratic spice that lasts about two hours. After that, the fragrance turns and a subtle sweetness rises, which never becomes intrusive or even annoying.
Why this fragrance is preferred as masculine, is not quite clear to me, could be due to the year of release, when the allocation in male / female was still customary.
I share the assessment of Ergoproxy, who notes in his review that a certain affinity for vintage fragrances is conducive to the acceptance of this Colognes.
Later, the minimal sweetness is joined by a certain animalic note, which, contrary to expectations, blends wonderfully into the scent.
On Gund this unpredictable animal nuance is the bamboo cologne rather a small, rather than a large panda bear. The "real" bamboo bear eats 99% vegetable, the little panda, on the other hand, can also more often animal food munched and steams out accordingly.
In my immediate environment, there are men who in typical work dirty clothes, sweat beads on the forehead and the Hackepeterschrippe with a good deal of onion, a Gürkchen as a garnish in hand, take a break and smell like the bamboo cologne that I have tested here and described.
Who has the opportunity to test this cologne, with good shelf life for it: always ran to the Bouletten!
