Another Lovely Béthouart
Having recently discovered Ellen Tracy and that its designer also made Boucheron and Parfum Sacre, I looked up what else he's done. Found this one at Amazon for under $20 and it's a real beauty. Musk and Cedar give depth. Mimosa and the cherry-like Heliotrope make this not just another Jasmine-Rose scent. Well, actually, it IS just another floral, but it's done very well. Think a lighter Boucheron. Other perfumers have combined these notes to less impressive effect. Can't believe the price, given the loveliness. Longevity and projection are average.

Another Dark Beauty
This perfume is as inviting as a warm summer night. It reminds me of fragrances like Lolita Lempicka and Poison, but it doesn't actually smell much like either (probably because of the absence of licorice and aniseed notes). It has a gentler feel than either, but it still smells dusky and sultry. There's a strong jasmine note in this, so it won't be for you if you don't like jasmine. Don't dismiss this due to its price because you'd never know it was low priced from smelling it. I wish Jeanne Arthes put more thought into their names and bottles, but as with people, it's what's inside that counts.

This is my cat's favourite fragrance. I can't keep her out of my lap when I'm wearing this (but she also loves the smells of muscle rub and cheese and onion crisps). She looks so cute with her little nose twitching.
