The better Armani Diamonds or: the base has torn it out
Through a lively conversation with the dear GirlofNow about our favorite La nuits (hers the classic, mine a la folie) I've taken a closer look at the Caresse once. He was known to me, however, I had him not on the screen.
On the Internet, I was very confused by the color of the bottle. He is advertised as light pink-pink, but in real the liquid is creamy and slightly honey-yellow-powdery. Is this the "Caresse" for sure, I asked myself. But through various comparing and googling I was then sure. Since he has already been discontinued, my hunting instinct was awakened, and I could still get hold of a new bottle at a good price.

When he arrived I was pleased with the pretty bottle, which fits wonderfully to "Nude" and "a la folie". He has the rose ribbon around his neck again, while the other two wear the loop.
At the first spray (I always with my blind purchases, but thank God none went yet so really in the pants) I had to think immediately of "Armani Diamonds" and grimaced. Exactly the same association, both contain lychees and raspberries. Loud, present lychees and raspberries in each of them, I would not have trusted Lancome at all.
I have to say, I've kind of outgrown Diamonds. For me it is suddenly too screechy, somehow modern the raspberries before itself, it is pungent and synthetic, although not tilted. Maybe my nose and scent preferences have just evolved. But since the bottle is pretty and it accompanied me on my rehab from my serious hip surgery, I kind of can't give it away. Sentimental value and all. But I digress.

Thank God we're dealing with a perfume from the house of Lancome, which for me always promise noble and high-quality fragrances. Therefore, "Caresse" also has a beautiful development, and despite the initial mad similarity with "Diamonds" you can smell that it is a perfume from the house of Lancome and the "La Nuit Tresor" series.
The all-known Damascene rose unites in the heart note with the almond blossom, which I like extraordinarily well. I also think I smell a hint of honey, although it's not listed.
The durability is as always with me very good, and still the next morning I smell him still close to the body.
However, I had to test "Caresse" several times to decide whether he may stay or move on. However, the heart and base notes have me mild, especially the beautiful almond blossom, which reminds me a bissche of the Kneipp body oil, which I always put in the bath water when baby bath day is.
You can wear it both in the evening and during the day, but please dose sparingly, because it is also a small headache candidate. On cooler to cold days, it billows around you like a creamy, yellow-gold veil.

I always have to almost get myself to spray it on, and then stubbornly ignore the penetrating top note, it really borders on love-hate. Whereby the love gets stronger every time.
The beautiful Tahitian vanilla and the musk, however, fight a battle with lychee and raspberry until the end. Sometimes one team wins, sometimes the other, but Team Fruit thankfully has its grand and intrusive entrance behind it.

Who knows, maybe I'll give "Diamonds" another chance soon and compare the two directly. But it is already clear to me that "Diamonds" is clearer, sharper, more pungent and much less round-creamy than "Caresse".
Same same but different just

Caresse - the lighter La Nuit Trésor
Having already enjoyed La Nuit Trésor very much, I bought a Caresse bottle today because it was reduced by 50 percent. In any case, it smells similar to La Nuit, but it is lighter and therefore more suitable for everyday use and even at warmer temperatures. I agree with the lower comment, while La Nuit is dark and sexy, the Caresse is rather playful and romantic and goes well with a date. In the beginning, juicy lychee can be clearly identified, then, after a few minutes, the fragrance becomes more floral. Jasmine, almond blossom and rose are said to be responsible. The whole thing is carried by a cuddly base of tonka bean, musk and vanilla. I don't smell patchouli. This fragrance is beautiful, no question about it, but I like La Nuit even better because of the delicious praline and the incense. The Caresse is brighter, more tender. A fine fruity veil of fragrance blows around you. Yum! A very fine little puff, nice for the evening and for going out.

The more playful safe
As I already own the original and love it very, very much and I don't want to do without it anymore, I also dared to take on Caresse. When I sprayed it on my wrist I smelled bergamot and Litchie as the first they fly away very fast. After 2min you will notice a creamy freshness that smells slightly sweet and makes the whole thing even more interesting and better because you smell a certain almond note with a hint of light vanilla. One notices that it has a certain similarity with the original but it is much lighter, nicer and more suitable for everyday use. Jasmin I also noticed easily that was not very present much more in the background. With this perfume I find much more was the Tonka bean, Litchie as well as the Vanilla presenter. Sometimes I noticed a certain but slightly sweet raspberry note from time to time which also makes it very feminine and playful;). On the whole, this perfume is very successful who can't stand original ones and who will become friends with this one because it is much lighter and should be much more bearable for most of those who don't like to smell the real safe. I still stay with my darling but I like this one very much too:)
