Summer Rose
I have me again a sample of "Clair Matin" procured (greeting + thanks to addicted), because in the fragrance pyramid chamomile is listed, and the chamomile I like so much in "Beloved".
From the beginning, the rose is there. She is, I think, pink. It's strong right at the beginning, though listed as a heart note first. She gives herself fresh, slightly cool, slightly soapy or just clear. A still somewhat cool summer morning, the wind blowing through a rose bush. I can't detect chamomile, raspberry leaf or lemon, but think they are responsible for the "clarity" of the rose. What the currant bud contributes I don't know, the currant buds and blossoms I know simply don't Smell at all.
From the initially clearly radiating sillage becomes in the course of the first 30 - 40 minutes slowly a body close, as I like it. For a long time I perceive nothing but this clear rose. Nice, wearable, not suffocating or anything like that. The violet doesn't reach my nose though. CM, being a rose scent, also goes well with warm outdoor temperatures. Only in the base, and it takes hours to get there, does the scent change to warm, soft, delicately fruity. I almost like this base the best. Perhaps because I no longer expected anything other than rose.
"I like Clair Matin a lot and it's going on my "maybe" list. On this list are fragrances that I do not necessarily have to have, but which I also do not want to forget :-).
P.S.: I just realized that there is actually a climbing rose called Clair Matin.
