Vanilla to bite into?
Hello perfume freaks! Where have you stuck your noses in again today? :D
Hey there, I recently tried the "American Cream" fragrance from Lush. A good friend of mine really likes the scent, so I gave it a try too. And yes, of course most women like it - after all, it contains vanilla, which is one of the most popular fragrances ever! Are you also really into vanilla? No, don't tell me. For you freaks, it just has to be "a fragrance", no matter what, to make you happy, right? Hey hey hey, what's it like when people ask you if you all like perfumes just because you love fragrances? Yeah yeah, it's like me with Star Wars. You always think I like everything that has Star Wars on it, but I don't like all of it and I don't have to have all of it. I mean, there's also a lot of nonsensical stuff that nobody needs, like those overpriced kitchen towels with the Star Wars - The Mandalorian logo on them that I got myself the other day... in the end, they're thrown away after use anyway... Well, now you know what it's like to be called a freak all the time just because you like something :D

As for vanilla, I like the scent of vanilla too. What's more, vanilla often makes me think of Christmas. And it's almost that time again, Christmas is less than 2 weeks away, or as we guys always say: just 2 more showers and it's Christmas! :DD

Okay, but back to the Lush fragrance!
So I tried the fragrance on a friend's bottle. I haven't been in a Lush store for a long time, I've only been there very rarely, for example when a friend wanted to pop in while shopping or something... and then I always wondered whether we'd arrived at a greengrocer's and cheesemonger's he he. Yes, I now know that this is the Lush style. The soaps and stuff just look like food. Which is kind of cool, but I still sometimes get the feeling that the people there (both the sales clerks and the customers) seem a little snootier than the average person... but that may have been just me, because I felt slightly out of place, but good.
In any case, this fragrance is supposed to be perfect for anyone who wants to smell good "to bite into". At least according to the manufacturer. Well, we'll see!

The fragrance:
I smell a great, sweet vanilla right at the beginning. I can also smell sage, at least in the top note. There is also lavender and great resins. After a few minutes, it smells creamier and creamier, which is quite nice.
The oranges, well... I couldn't detect them on the first test, but on a second test they were suddenly there. The strawberries, on the other hand, I could barely smell, perhaps they were just drowned out by the rather strong vanilla notes and the resinous scents.
A little later, I continue to smell vanilla (of course, the vanilla will be present throughout the fragrance) and a surprisingly strong orange.
Then, towards the end, the fragrance becomes more powdery instead of creamy and the oranges become much weaker and soon disappear. You gradually realize that the end will be like most fragrances that have a strong vanilla to offer: Namely, that the end actually smells almost entirely of vanilla and that the fragrance is then barely distinguishable from other fragrances. That's not a bad thing, because the vanilla smells good and is also long-lasting, but if you have a lot of vanilla fragrances like this, then there are hardly any significant differences to the other fragrances in the later base. As with the other vanilla fragrances, the distinctive part of the scent here is more in the top and heart notes and perhaps at least at the beginning of the base. Nevertheless, all in all it is quite a nice fragrance.

The sillage and the longevity:
The sillage is okay, but somehow I don't find it as strong as the reviews on Parfumo show. That doesn't mean it's not smellable though, I'm sure you should be able to smell the fragrance quite well in a, just maybe not outside in cooler weather.
In terms of longevity, the fragrance stays on the skin for quite a long time. Depending on the dose, it can easily last 10 hours.

The bottle:
The bottle is quite simple. It is rectangular and filled with golden fragrance liquid. On the front you can see the label with the name and brand, on the back there is another label with the "ingredients", which is interesting. The lid is cylindrical and somehow quite thin, it almost looks rather cheap as you can easily squeeze it. In any case, the bottle is nothing special and therefore just okay and functional.

Conclusion:
So... okay, so I didn't think the fragrance was bad. It was actually quite nice and yes, it's definitely worth a test. However, it wasn't that special for me either, but that could also be because I've tried so many fragrances in the meantime and so for me, vanilla fragrances end up smelling quite similar.

In any case, the fragrance is best suited for cooler days, but it's not too heavy for a vanilla fragrance, so it could also be worn in spring, especially because of the fresh orange notes in the scent. You can then use the fragrance for all sorts of things, either for yourself or for going out. And as the manufacturer claims, it is indeed the case that the fragrance makes you smell delicious. However, this applies to most vanilla fragrances, as vanilla generally smells very good and delicious.

By the way, if anyone is wondering whether the fragrance smells "soapy" because it is from Lush and they also have a lot of bath bombs and soaps to choose from, then I have to say: No, the fragrance seemed clean to me, but not necessarily soapy.

Well, that's it from me. I don't know if I'll be writing another fragrance review this year, so I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

But I will try to write a Christmas blog like I do every year, which I will publish around the holidays, if I hope it works out! :)

Well then, have a nice evening and see you :)

Chicke Crema :P...
Soft, fluffy creamed.
Cream - Cremore - Cremissimo !!!
You choose the place, which should smell creamy and spray hearty on it (because the tendency to overspray can really not be dangerous to you with this perfume)

- with me in the case neck, Decollete, arms ... Because I just can not get enough of it when the fragrance hunger for this perfume assaults me.
I love this noble, slightly creamy Smootheness, powdery fine sweetness ... A strong strawberry should not be expected here.... She enters the stage as a discreet powder fairy, sometimes here sometimes there a Wölklein strawberry powder secreting.
With the warmth of the skin develops a creamy-herbaceous velvety. Lavender, oh vanilla, what are you here finely tuned with each other. One feels clean and well-groomed. By the way, I would assign it to the group of skin perfumes (such as Lacoste pur femme) quite in the sense that you smell human, but just in a very well-groomed way. Holds wonderfully and disturbs no one, on the contrary, the reactions are consistently positive. A fragrance for days when I want to feel like a fine, well-groomed lady , and yes that also happens sometimes xD
And finally:
perfect layering succeeds by the way with
Jeanne Arthes Sultane Noir Velour Eau de Parfum (American Cream as a base)
....belissimo ;)

My American dextrose dream
Do you remember those bracelets and necklaces made of glucose that you could get for a small mark at the swimming pool kiosk? And a Mini Milk Strawberry to cool you down from the inside?
This is exactly what American Cream has reminded me of since the very first second. Not the disappointment of having spent all my pocket money for the week on this short-lived, fruity glucose excess. No, more of those sweet, fruity, synthetic flavors that almost got you high on those hot summer days.

And that's exactly why the fragrance has something nostalgic about it for me, bringing me lightness and a sense of well-being. I'm already using the second bottle, Open End :D

I think this fragrance is very special and stands out in the Lush range. In my opinion, many of the brand's fragrances are characterized by the fact that they are quite (sometimes overwhelming) boards, this one is really nice understatement - and yet by no means weak in performance! The longevity is great, I can still slightly smell it on my clothes for days. The fragrance is one of the most powdery I know, someone here wrote "dry", which I think sums it up very well. It almost borders on scratchy, but not necessarily in a negative way. It's just that the cream in the name is a bit misleading here.

American Cream cannot be over-sprayed. The more, the cuddlier and nicer, and it probably won't bother anyone. In short: a pleasing, feminine fragrance. Occasion: Always and everywhere, from spring to fall.

A lot has already been written here about the character, and I agree with the vanilla as the supporting and all-encompassing main note. I love vanilla fragrances, but they shouldn't be boring and should have a certain twist. AC offers me that with the tasty, delicious, synthetic strawberry and the very subtle spiciness of lavender and sage. The benzoin resin gives the fragrance a certain depth and warmth and makes the vanilla wonderfully round without taking away its gourmand character.

Thank you, Lush, for this masterpiece that literally sweetens my fragrance life!

The never-ending story with vanilla
I came across Lush many years ago, I don't even remember how.
My nearest store is almost 200km away, so a visit has to be well thought out.

Somehow I'm the only one in my circle of family and friends who loves the scent of these stores. You enter and are literally overwhelmed by impressions of all kinds, colorful, shrill, kitschy and yet so beautiful.

I first got to know American Cream as a conditioner. Unfortunately, it didn't stand a chance with my unruly hair, but I always bought a small bottle just for the smell. (And yes, maybe I used to apply it all over my body in the shower, no conditioner-shaming please! :D)

Still, 200km or ordering blind, generally not an option for me at these prices. That's why the Lush empire and I parted ways.
And then there was a Boxing Day sale.

I'll never forget how the letter carrier stood in front of my door and said "Whatever this is, I want it too, it smells incredible. I would have preferred not to deliver the parcel at all and leave it in my car."

Between what felt like 400 bath balls and bubble baths, the bottle of American Cream also emerged.
One spray and I have to smile.

For me, this perfume is cuddly in liquid form.
How incredibly warm, soft and beautiful.
For me, the strawberry only comes through slightly, I mainly smell vanilla, and it stays forever.
Nevertheless, although I mainly perceive vanilla, this fragrance is somehow versatile and yet beautiful in its simplicity.

Imagine you are sitting in America, somewhere in a small town, almost a village.
There's not much there, a few stores here and there, a gas station and a diner.
The souls of the village gather there, and you sit in the middle of it all.
You see a young couple sitting at one of the niche tables, newly in love and giggling and whispering.
The two of them order a huge milkshake, as the portions are big enough.
The whipped cream piles up on top, with every sip from the straw you have a blob of it on your nose.

That's what American cream smells like to me.
Kitschy, amorous, carefree and romantic.
The longevity of this perfume is gigantic in my eyes, sprayed on in the morning I can still clearly smell the vanilla late at night.
Sillage is nice, I am always asked about my "sugar scent".
For me, a clear buy recommendation for all those who like vanilla, but for whom vanilla is not enough. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is absolutely fair and American Cream is and will remain a firm favorite with me.

Just Like the Conditioner
American Cream Fragrance by Lush does an excellent job of bringing more of that same creamy fruity vanilla fragrance that makes some of us so wild over the conditioner by the same name. This fragrance is sumptuous, powdery a little cloying but mesmerizing. I don't recommend wearing this around fragrance intolerant people or in close quarters- like at the Chiropractor's Office, for example. My Chiropractor was clearly distracted and unable to speak or perform a simple adjustment the day I wore this fragrance. I couldn't tell if it was a good distracted or if he was going to pass out...either way- American Cream is the kind of fluffy vanilla cloud that causes massive neural disruption in those around your personal space. Those of us who are familiar with Lush, they tend toward combinations of essential oils and heady floral blends and pride themselves in being of low toxicity and against animal testing. To compensate and in my mind to create a bold dichotomy, they have turned up the volume of the fragrance to the maximum...this fragrance lingers, lunges and last all day and sticks to anything and every one you touch leaving a creamy milky berry whipped topping. This is pure coziness, fluffy steamed milk with a bit of orange, lavender and strawberry. Why did I return my FB, given I have no complaints about the scent itself? It was a migraine inducer for me, unfortunately.

On my skin, it turns into a plastic mess, that subsides after 30mins into something resembling a strawberry milkshake, but not worth it

tried it on once and will probably never try it again—okay creamy skin scent but only after 2 hrs of smelling like a sweaty ball pit :(

It does seem that this varies by batches: instead of "milkshake", mine is mostly lavender & clary sage - like an herbal bar of soap.
