The answer to the question "What happens when you mix Eau d'Hadrien with Another 13 in 1:3 proportion?"
After all of the hype over Mary Greenwell PLUM, it turned out to be just another big blaring white floral perfume. Not very exciting and in fact near the end of the wear I couldn't take the gardenia anymore and had to take a bath.

Naturally, when a sample of Mary Greenwell LEMON arrived in the mail, I was quite curious about what it could possibly smell like. If PLUM is big white flowers, then perhaps LEMON is a lavender fougère? I mused to myself.

In fact, LEMON seems like a mixture of Annick Goutal EAU D'HADRIEN and Le Labo ANOTHER 13, with a lot more of the latter than the former. To my nose, this is uninspired Lego perfumery at its worst. Lots of ambroxan, and whatever that vat-sourced pseudo-woody-amber stuff is, and then a touch of lemony goodness on top which is unfortunately clobbered rather swiftly by the base.

Another mediocre launch from this "house", in my not-so-humble estimation.
