Sweet currant jam on a sweet-woody base
"The New Rose" is not my thing. Apparently my olfactory receptors were completely confused by testing when I bought the tester (half full, admittedly, for little money) at a flea market in a small perfumery.
The fragrance is sweet and mostly fruity, I can only interpret the rose here. He starts very sweet and penetrating (and a bit synthetic, too) with currant jam, remains for a long time and annoys me until the moment when he finally changes to sweet-woody. This base is anything but original, but enjoyable.
The minus points also include low shelf life and Sillage.
All in all, for me this purchase is a disappointment.
