A 15 Second Peach Fuzzy Navel Shot Ontop of the Same Old Narciso Egyptian Musk
I have to admit, not a fan of NR for Her, NR musk Intense, etc. Both tried and returned. But I sampled this in a Duty-free shop and was delighted by the silky smooth peach and rose top notes. I could almost see myself in this fragrance. A classy, cheery, fuzzy, fluffy scent full of delicious peaches and cream... sexy musk underneath...yeah, I'm that kind of girl. I was busy recording my reflection on this scent having sprayed the NR Eau Delicate EDP with its agarwood base on the other arm and the Eau EDT with its figgy-osmanthus self on the other hand, i.e., my dance card was full that night. Fast forward 4 hours, I wake up on the plane, and it's me that smells so obnoxious I must rush off to the washroom-though I couldn't figure out why. Fast forward 6 months to the Fine Fragrance Counter at Nord's- I play it smart- try only the NR Eau Delicate EDP and NR Eau Delicate EDT. As I reach for the bottles, to my horror, the S.A. says " Ummmm, if you don't like NR For Her...You're NOT going to like those...they all smell, basically the same." I was mortified! 'What a troglodyte', I thought! Sadly, her prophecy was correct! Both smelled very similar to Narciso For Her EDP smells like Peaches and Rose for 15 minutes then reverts to that familiar 'For Her' refrain, while the EDT starts figgy, with Osmanthus (which I love) and then fizzles to the For Her Musk in about 30 minutes. Yawn. If you love "For Her by Narciso Rodriguez" of even "Lovely" by SJP, you really owe it to Yourself to check out these flankers. The bottles are interesting as they gradient from light muted pinks and purple colors to darker colors at the bases. Don't get me wrong, they are all "sultry" in that same musky way. But if you are searching for a different ending to the NR story...the search continues.
