Spritely Sea Breeze
I am not really sure why this fragrance has Lily in the name, but I do love it anyway. Recently, I have undertaken the obscure study of Lily notes in fragrances and this ain't it. But none-the-less, this is a delightful, easy to wear unisex scent great for office/day wear- clean, but not soapy. This is an outrageously citrus explosion... crisp bright lime zest entwined with a Meyer lemon wave- perfect for the hot days of Mid-summer. I don't really see how anyone could wear this with a pouty face- it is so carefree and squirt-in-your-mouth juicy lime and a touch of fresh mint. It has excellent sillage for the first 4-6 hours it radiates a good 6 inches (15.2 cm)on my skin and after about 2 hours Amazon Lily melts in to my skin further and I detect the underpinning of an airy sea-breeze- slightly salty note (but do not envision intense low-tide saltwater salty like TM's "Womanity"- in Amazon Lily the salt note is like a perfectly salt rimmed Margarita- way more subdued light and sincere- like Heeley's "Sel Marin") combined with a unsweetened gender neutral crystalline/white musk note. There is also just a tad of a dry dusty wood note, but honestly it is almost an after thought, at no point during the wearing of this would I describe it as a truly "woody fragrance". This is overall a super citrusy clean musk or a slightly musky super clean citrus. Borrowing pieces of the chapter on Lime/Limon from Prescriptive's "Calyx" and Creed's "Virgin Island Water" playbook and taking them to the beach to read on a sunny day while sipping an icey cold Mojito.
