Brazil's entry in the delicious coffee scent contest
It's one of my personal goals to try every coffee fragrance out there, and I'm glad I got to try this one. (Thank you so much to the wonderful Nezzabel, who sent it to me from Portugal!)

Many coffee scents rely heavily on vanilla to sweeten them up. (Two good examples are Comptoir sud Pacifique Vanille Mokha and Perlier Vanilla Coffee.) It's a lovely combination, as the many people who get a shot of vanilla syrup in their coffee know, but can become cloying if there are no other notes. Balmain's Balmya has a nice vanilla-coffee note with a surprisingly sharp green background that takes it out of the norm. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem balances its coffee-vanilla with lavender and cedar, making it "manlier" than the others. Trussardi Inside goes in the "girly" direction with a big jammy red rose note.

O Boticario's entrant in the "coffee + vanilla + ________" category has a subdued, not-very-sweet vanilla balanced by a very natural green apple scent. It's quite lively and refreshing and makes sense as a flavor combination also. (Afraid of having coffee breath? A slice of Granny Smith apple will fix it!)

The result is a pretty, refreshing, balanced scent that would be well-known and well-liked in many places if O Boticario would stop making itself so hard to sample beyond Brazil and Portugal.
