As fresh as on the beach
I haven't worn this fragrance that often yet, as in my personal experience it's worn more on hot days. It feels like there is a layer of ice on your skin. Of course, you can also wear the fragrance in other seasons, but it depends on the person. I mean, there are also people who eat ice cream in winter. But my experience is that it is very irritating to the nose in the cold.

you can actually wear Aviator whenever you need to freshen up. There are days in summer when your throat is simply warm and the air is very thick, and this perfume really helps. It simply smells like good freshness. It also reminds me a bit of a boat trip out at sea with a cold wind in summer.

So if you need a little cool-down, this is a great choice. I got it as a blind buy and am completely satisfied. You can't go wrong with it.

The true legend Intense !
In the Kaufhof I sniffed out some cheap scents besides the big brands, and as expected I threw away most of the paper strips after a few minutes, but one stayed and was allowed to wet my shirt. Somehow I knew the direction... and it was good. RIGHTLY good, as it soon turned out. Because after a strong citric-fruity opening of the first minute, the Aviator then retained a light fruity portion and soon developed into a very harmonious fragrance that reminded me of Montblanc Legend. And it got better and better - with every hour.

So at some point I had the impression that the Aviator is probably the true Legend Intense, in the sense of more mature, more distinctive, more adult. For the Frenchman lacks the almost sweet fruitiness of today's Montblanc and convinces with more bite from the Fougère sage corner. Nevertheless, after only a quarter of an hour they begin to approach. After about another 30 minutes, the tonka bean dominates both of them, this soft, warm, slightly creamy but concise "pencil" note. And if you like them, you'll be well served with Montblanc's Legend as well as the Aviator, only the latter is much more intense. Because what I feel rather as Achilles heel with ML is quite strong with Aviator - the Sillage:

With two sprayers on a polo shirt, the French high flyer produces a sillage in the first half hour, which can be heard up to one meter. Only after that it becomes a little calmer and takes itself back to half arm length, but > 8 hours clearly perceptible. The Montblanc Legend is running out of breath long before that, even if the shelf life of both fragrances is enormous (they stick to clothes forever ...).

Today's Aviator is the one with the addition "Authentic" and should be kept separately as a younger version. Because the higher shares of citric and, above all, aquatic notes can at best come from the former aviator ...

The price of approx. 15€ is extremely low and does not match the impressive quality of the Aviator, whose value is reflected not only in the fragrance itself but also in its packaging, and is therefore worth mentioning: Even the cardboard has a special feel, which is shown in two different surfaces, which are embossed in some places and look like varnished. Furthermore, the beautifully designed bottle has a heavy metal cap that closes with a clear click.

Conclusion: The Aviator is unexpectedly valuable and looks like the mature brother of Montblanc Legend, which is brighter, more fruity and more lovely. If, on the other hand, you are looking for the more "pithy" impact of a tonka bean fragrance, you will find it in the Aviator. Nevertheless the similarity of the two EDTs is 70-80% (the Aviator with Fougère chord, the Legend with pineapple). Both are very attractive, but the harder Aviator has a much stronger projection, which makes it a true Legend Intense.
