R for green, fresh, spicy
No question - the R stands for Roberto in the original sense, the first name of the fashion designer and brand founder de Capucci. But it also reflects more or less visually and acoustically the three rough cornerstones of the fragrance mentioned above, as well as the gRRRünen notes, which are making their way from the beginning with discreet citric accompaniments.
The second large corner pillar consists of FRRR elements that shake you awake almost like a dashing wind. Just the right kick for the morning in the bathroom and/or in summer.
And as the title already reveals, R de Capucci is also very dignified. I wouldn't have guessed that rosemary was contained here just because of the initial letter - which apparently isn't true at all.
The reason for my suspicion is rather that R de Capucci reminds me strongly of Bogart by Jaques Bogart as well as of Paco Rabanne pour Homme, both also fresh green-spicy scents with recognizable rosemary portion (and also green bottle), however also from the 70s, in whose time that ingredient apparently was to be noticed then probably more intensively in the scents.
It could also be roughly compared to Puig's Quorum, which came onto the market three years earlier, but which is increasingly spreading with a leather note. Our protagonist behaves rather leisurely and remains true to the mossy theme until the end.
All in all, R de Capucci is not the most typical 80s representative, but at least a recommendation when it comes to spicy and green characteristics. Nevertheless at this genus Bogart the R resp. the olfactory bulb at the front will show.
