Samouraï

The origin of the brand Samouraï goes back to the year 1995 and the launch of the eponymous perfume, then still under the brand Alain Delon. The fragrance takes its name from a 1967 film with Delon, Le Samouraï. Since the mid-nineties, numerous scents have appeared in the Samouraï line for men and women under the Alain Delon brand. The licensing rights of the Alain Delon brand have been sold multiple times and belong to the Lalique Group (Art & Fragrance) since 2007. At this time, a separation of the brands Alain Delon and Samouraï happend. Already under the previous license holder Parfums de Paris a high popularity of the Samouraï line in Japan was recognizable. Therefore, the focus of the Samouraï brand is now predominantly on the Japanese market. Some of the fragrances that have already been marketed under the Alain Delon brand are still available today.
