When I was very young and would have looked terrific in any Valentino, I made no effort to wear them. I favored jeans and sweaters. In my 30's when I stopped being a tomboy/hippie/rebel, I considered Valentinos outlandishly expensive. Recently (a couple years ago) I stopped in a Valentino boutique just to browse the lovely dresses, feeling regret at my youthful folly. I shared this with a friendly saleswoman who smiled and brought me this. "You're going to like it," she said. I sure did. I'm wearing it now. Magical citrus, indolic florals and violet leaf. What's heliotrope again? Consulting notes kit. Oh, right. The note that reminds me of L'Heure Bleue. It and the rice (I do like rice) lend the rest sophistication. Few are the florals that captivate me to this extent. Of course, the best part is that I'm wearing Valentino after all. If you want florals but don't want to smell like a flower vase, if you too need consoling for not moving heaven and earth, if necessary, to let Valentino dress you when you were hot, this perfume is first class balm.
