My all-day-every-day perfume!
I received this fragrance as a birthday gift from my sister-in-law in 2016, and while I'm usually critical of fragrances given as gifts because you simply know best what you like and what you don't, I immediately fell head over heels in love with this fragrance. I would even go so far as to say that it has become my sigantur fragrance.
The top note opens with a very intense but rounded blackcurrant. Sparkling, refreshing, fruity, slightly sweet and very caressing. A light powderiness then unfolds in the heart note through the violet iris, which cleverly combines with the freshness of the blackcurrant. The floral, woody and slightly earthy base note then reveals iris root, which adds a certain depth to the fragrance. Overall, a very complex and multi-faceted fragrance that I would not want to miss in my collection.
Unfortunately, the fragrance was reissued due to the ban on the ingredient "butylphenyl methylpropaniol", which in my opinion meant that this perfume lost some of the depth that I liked so much about it. The longevity of the old formulation was enormous (8+ hours). Unfortunately, I can only perceive the new edition very faintly on myself after just 4-5 hours. But it is, nonetheless, still an insanely great fragrance.
