From the crevice
At the last Rocher purchase, the friendly saleswoman enclosed a Cosmetic bag and a "lavender scent".

Today I remembered this nice gesture again, and I went in search of the "mild gifts".

Bags and bags were inspected, the retired boy scout's husband intervened - and the police poodle also picked up tracks.

Finally, the scout unearthed what he was looking for - possibly from a crevice in the rock.
Heureka - Sherlock Holmes says hello.

But the scent is not hidden at all.
The spray alder spreads astonishingly full and intense.
Rocheruntypical.
Strong lavender soap lies on my skin - but rather clean than fresh.
The orange blossom adds a warmer tone - and dims down the pore-deep cleanliness a little.
That's good for the fragrance, and a bit of citrus too now dares to come out.
The soapy start fades away and Fleur becomes more compliant.

A surprisingly direct, almost loud Rocher - with a clear statement of cleanliness,

For fans of this direction to recommend - for me rather the accustomed Rocher decency.

If only cats would like oranges!
Oranges. Oh how I like oranges in fragrances, because on hot days like these they just do well as long as they are well processed in the little fragrances we all love so much. Anyway, oranges are pretty great. They taste good, provide vitamins and make people believe that they would catch fewer colds in winter (and due to the imaginary placebo effect or so, some actually become less susceptible if they have eaten many oranges :D). Besides, oranges with their round shape even look kind of cute, especially if you draw a smiley face on them :D
Orange blossoms smell slightly different, but also remind a little of oranges, are a little less citric, but smell just as great, so I think orange blossoms are just great!

It's hard to believe that cats like my tomcat regard these round fruits as enemies of the state. They usually avoid these citrus fruits, at least mine. But from time to time (probably when they got high from the cat grass) it happens that they want to push these fruits around again and sometimes even maltreat them with their claws. Sometimes they also get stuck on the shell and swear when they get a full load of sour scent that almost kills them. And then the war really starts when they get extra wild and you see (the next morning) all the oranges all over the apartment.

Uh... I'm digressing again, aren't I? Well, I come then times to the smell, which has to offer also oranges and/or actually orange blossoms and thereby terribly for cats, but for us humans rather terribly refreshing sounds :D

The fragrance:
The fragrance begins as expected citric and quite fresh. But first I smell oranges instead of orange blossoms. Only gradually do you smell flowery or "flowery" scents, so that the oranges become orange blossoms.
In the heart note one actually smells mostly orange blossoms with a residual hint of "normal" oranges in the background. With the lavender I still have difficulty recognizing it, it's almost as if this fragrance is completely missing, but let's wait and see...
No,... later the scent becomes much weaker and you continue to smell a mix of oranges and orange blossoms. Lavender seems to be missing or is probably only very small in the background. A simple, nice fragrance!

Sillage and shelf life:
Well, the fragrance has a charisma like most citric summer fragrances: So unfortunately rather weak, even if the beginning (very) short term is still quite good. It weakens in less than an hour and becomes body-hugging. It belongs to the fragrances that you can spray on yourself in summer often times.
The shelf life of two to three hours (if any) is also low.

The bottle:
The bottle is a simple cylindrical vessel with slightly upward sloping "sides" (like a funnel) at the top. It is closed with a green lid. You don't see a label, because everything was printed directly on the bottle (or is it like a foil that was attached to the bottle,... so it's more like a label... oh it's so hot... :D).
One sees a beautiful picture of orange blossoms and lavender, which adds a little bit of value to the simple bottle.

Ooh, yeah, I liked the smell. Which was to be expected, though, since I like citrus in fragrance. But unfortunately I had the feeling as if I could hardly smell the scent after only 30 minutes, because it quickly became close to my body. So it evaporates cursed fast, so that one could or should spray it several times a day.

But on such murderously hot days as today it offers a short-term, but nice refreshment and makes sure that you can breathe a little again at 35 degrees :D
As you can see, the fragrance is best suited for the really hot days!

If you prefer a more long-lasting orange scent (which doesn't have any orange blossoms to offer), you could have a look at Concentré d'Orange Verte by Hermès, as this scent is still extremely refreshing and surprisingly long-lasting on hot days for me, but it is really VERY citric :D

Well, my hangover doesn't mind that much, by the way. First of all the scent is rather weak and secondly it's so hot that it's totally flat and the heat prefers to sleep away... the lucky one looks so carefree and cute as always. And his meowing proves that he doesn't tolerate the extreme heat soo well either. Powerless before the heat, more than one "Mi" from the miau doesn't come out anymore, when he looks at me, says "mi" and then immediately goes back to sleep flat :))
