With a lot of honey and carnation, Gianni Versace (now called (GV Classic) is one of the most va-va-voom 1980s chypres. Very dressy.

Mystere reminds me of a bracing French white wine in which you can taste the limestone and other minerals from the soil. It has a dry, ashy top but the civet in it renders the drydown a bit sweeter and creamy. This fascinating chypre deserves its cult following.

Meharees is lovely, a soft woody oriental with a lot of myrrh. A skin scent, it never overpowers like some spicy perfumes in its category. A very decent, wearable perfume for comparatively little money. I recommend it highly for casual wear.
