Like a mother defending her young I couldn't resist swooping in to review to exonerate my baby! Okay guys I get it, all the common folks wear it, it's super popular. But like the change of the seasons flowerbomb will eventually be out of style, but not for me because my love is true blue baby. For those who say it's too sweet, well it is really sweet, you got me there, oh well.
Flowerbomb to me smells like crystal candies made out of flower sap and green tea. The osmanthus note in the beginning is sweet, a hint citrusy, and just gorgeous. From that point on Flowerbomb just explodes into this floral sugar crystal crazyness. I can smell cattleya orchid, rose, green tea, and even the jasmine notes in this fragrance. They all hang out in a hot sticky sugar mess that I just love. Although in the weirdest way this fragrance to me is not heavy! It's injected with ozone in this lovely way other fragrances with vanilla and caramel are not. It twinkles and shines, it's the candy shop tinkerbell of perfumes. It lasts forever, it blasts the first few hours then becomes softer. I admit I am in love with both stages. The flowerbomb bomb stage is big and fun, the softer stage sensuous and lovely.
I have been addicted to flowerbomb since 2011 but finally got my bottle near the end of 2012 and there is totally no going back. I have a 100 mL, 2 minis, a purse spray, a purse refill, and a whole bunch of samples and I regret nothing. I am stuck on this stuff. If I were a hindu god I'd give it 6 thumbs up.

Velvet Sugar for me was a much anticipated release. When I first heard bath and bodyworks was releasing a perfume centered around red velvet cupcakes I was practically foaming at the mouth. I have been looking for a fragrance that captures the scent of red velvet cupcakes for a year now, beyonce's new york NYC was a disappointment to me.
So while going so crazy waiting for this scent to hit the stores I resorted to stalking the bath and bodyworks page and calling in every other day annoying the crap out of the SA's. When it was finally there I practically tore the bottle apart eager for my sniff...and did it smell like red velvet cupcakes?
NO.
Not even a little.
Sooo crushed was I. This fragrance is a sweet sugary strawberry, with plums, and a very generic white floral feel. Is it anything special? Absolutely not. Do I hate it? No, I really don't. I didn't hold a grudge even though it wasn't anything like what I expected it to be. For being a BBW synthetic strawberry scent it ain't half bad. It makes me feel 16, but the child in me never died. I wear it to work with a smile on my face.
In summary, sweet synthetic floral strawberry and plum. Very average and typical BBW. Okay but not great. I really don't find it overly sweet, I think the chemical-ness of it might make the sugar more over bearing, but I know so many gourmands that are sweeter. The bottle really does bite. I got it gifted to me at christmas and while it looks so cute the sprayer doesn't work at all. I decant mine into a travel sprayer to use.

Amour de cacao offers a great dry milk chocolaty cocoa scent for a fair price. Similar to the richer chocolate greedy, amour de cacao is more of a soft dry version without dried fruits. I think Amour de cacao smells exactly like the chocolate cookie parts of an oreo crumbled up to sprinkle on top of ice cream or make a pie crust. The projection is moderate and the silage is surprisingly soft, making it snuggly and an easy wear which you wouldn't expect. This is a chocolate scent you could wear in a close quarters situation. If you want a stronger chocolate scent you might, like me choose to wear several sprays at once to enjoy a cloud with the strength of a gourmand like pink sugar. The versatility of the strength of this chocolate scent is adaptable and user friendly. On a side note, I hardly smell any fruits just chocolate and a little bit of vanilla. Amour de cacao is jolly and simple, don't expect much, only expect to enjoy!
