Shining green citrusy floral
This starts out green, citrusy and floral with a bit of a spicy/peppery kick. Ferragamo pour Femme brings to mind a grassy wildflower meadow on a cloudless spring day. The top is a lovely blend of flowers, citruses and green grass. This scent has such a fresh, bright, yet soft and classicly romantic feel to it.

No specifc flower stands out to me above the rest, but I probably detect the rose and lily of the valley the most. The florals here are very fresh, clear and vibrant, not jarring or sharp at all. If anyone remembers the sadly discontinued Clarins Elysium, this reminds me a lot of that scent. I guess that this is technically a fruity floral, but not in the current trendy, candy-sweet way at all. It is more sophisticated than that, but still young at heart.

The drydown reveals some similarities to the drydown of Versace Versense, with it's transparent musk and hint of woods, but here it is of a more green floral character here than a citrus one. At this point, Ferragamo pour Femme starts to move away from the floral/fruity-floral category and a bit more into floral woody musk territory, all the while retaining it's fresh green vibrancy.

I picked this up blind from TJMaxx for $19.99 and am so glad I did. I can't wait to wear this come spring.

Fruity-floral grapefruit
Squeeze is a sweet, mostly grapefruit, somewhat floral scent, with a bit of a musky drydown, that reminds me a lot of Burberry Brit Sheer. Indeed the notes are very similar: grapefruit/yuzu, lychee and musk. Not breaking any new ground here, this scent is one more in a crowd of grapefruity florals. Along with Brit Sheer, this scent occupies the same general olfactory space as Dior Addict II, Versace Bright Crystal and Estee Lauder White Linen Light Breeze.

Although nothing terribly unique, I could see this scent being a refreshing pick-me-up on a hot summer day when you want something light and unobtrusive. Also in Squeezes favor, the bottle is absolutely adorable, and this scent can be found for a very good price at discount retailers and websites

Alien Liqueur de Parfum redux
Alien Le Gout du Parfum ( Alien the Taste of Fragrance) looks and smells almost identical to the 2009 Alien flanker, Alien Liqueur de Parfum, a smoother and IMO superior version of the original Alien. I do notice with this one though, in the initial spray, a bit of an unpleasant lighter fluid type smell. Maybe this is the "sun note," a note which, given the name, has got to be artificial. This note does dissipate fairly quickly, leaving a wonderful drydown virtually indistinguishable from Alien Liqueur (well maybe just the slightest bit sweeter).

Already owning Alien Liqueur, I see no reason to also have Le Gout in my collection. Still, a great smelling perfume.

Tuscan Blood Orange solid perfume
As I mentioned in my comment below, I did not like the spray version of this scent at all, finding it way too sweet and artificial smelling. I have to say, though, that the solid version is pretty good. It is softer, more natural smelling, and although on the sweet side, not screamingly so.

As I love orange as a note in perfumes, one of my favorite ways to use this is layered with another scent in order to bump up or add an orange component. It can also serve to anchor an orange note and make it less fleeting (a common problem with citruses in general). I usually don't use this one on it's own, though, as it is just too much straight-up orange for me.

All in all, I'm glad to have Tuscan Blood Orange in my perfume arsenal and will no doubt use up my cute little tin.

Natural lilac
Well, Pacifica has done it again - come up with a great true-to-life soliflore at a price that can't be beat. If you are looking for a perfume that smells exactly like a lilac flower still on the bush, look no further.

I think that this would make a very charming and romantic scent for springtime (because, well, lilacs are charming and romantic). Keep in mind, though, that you must really want to smell like lilac flowers - this is a simple and straightforward floral scent.

French Lilac is also one of the stronger and longer lasting Pacificas. Thumbs up.
