Viburnam

This is a very nice vanilla, so if one is looking for a straightforward, simple (in a good way) vanilla scent this would satisfy. I am not picking up the musk. I thought the combination of only two lovely notes would be nice, but I can only detect the vanilla, which stays flat and does not evolve.

How does a scent smell both clean and smoky? Siberian Snow accomplishes this feat -- I found it pleasant, fresh and light. I can only guess that David Seth Moltz was trying to capture a far north retreat with a cozy fire and freshly fallen snow, while enjoying a cup of lovely mint tea. Mission accomplished, if so.

Like the soft tobacco -- warm and pleasant. I tend to masculine scents (I am female) so I would have no problem wearing this. Smokey and spicy -- the notes blend well. Reminds me of RBR Embers and Papillon Anubis, both of which I love.

Oh, yes -- this does invoke memories as tdwctdwc states below. For me it is from my childhood in Ontario -- conifers, dank moss, smokey cottage. And yet, there is a slight freshness that lifts the wonderful blend to a happy but still cozy place that makes me smile. Seriously considering a full bottle.

Like several other Slumberhouse scents, I thought "candle," but the different with Pear + Olive is that it seems to straddle the fence of body scent/home scent. It is warm and fruity -- a nice, pleasant scent.

What really surprised me is that I was complimented by a stranger an hour after applying. I was like "really . . .?" But I do believe the compliment was sincere.
