Douleur! by Bogue
That's what the name translates to, pain. Douleur is a cacophany of scents that never actually blend, twisting the brain this way and that, not letting any single impression coalesce. And that may be the point. Was this meant to be an olfactory translation of pain--the inability...

Chypré Extraordinaire by Roja Parfums
Whoa! I'm almost tempted to say--all you other perfumers, sit down and let the big dog hunt. What big dog? Roja Dove. I won't really say it only because there are many other perfumers whose creations I adore, but listen, folks! This is a masterpiece! Let me tell you how I came...
Per hubby, "You could just throw out all the rest and keep this!"+6

„Perfumista to Perfumer - Rescued Trash”
Perfume deliveries at my house having morphed for the most part into deliveries of essential oils, absolutes and such---here's a pic of what's becoming my perfume organ, (or what's left of my initial purchases). Into the trash went my unwary acquisitions of what turned out to be fragrance oils, usually...

I do not know New Sibet. What do you mean by "Without a metallic note, there are no chains"?

Thank you very much for your comment on my Ore review. Slumberhouse is great, isn't it? Kiste and the other miracles...

Happy to hear you found the blog interesting :) If you test some of their samples, I'm interested in a Sniff Fest post for sure! We've covered the first quarter or so by now, none of the US scents yet, though. Some of them, I translated (Sharini, Saint d'Ici) and will keep doing that on the occasion to get them more known.

Hi!Thanks so much for your kind messages, and yes,I have not been to the English site for a long time and wasn't aware of it!Won't happen again.Gosh,I have just read your comment on New Sibet, you left me speechless!
A spa in Arizona sounds fabulous, perfume shopping can wait, when you can douse yourself in that Roja (which I'd better not even try,it sounds so wonderful) and New Sibet!
Sending you best wishes ,and let me know if and when you do your trip to Paris,I'd love to hear your impressions! There is this tiny niche parfumerie that is the only one that sells the Mona di Orios, the guy there is so eccentric ,it is worth a visit! Can't remember the name of the place now,but could find out.

There are more than a few monumental vintage perfumes out there. However only a handful of them deserve to be called either bewitching or mesmerising. Or both...Thanks a milion!
