Treasure Island by Legendary Fragrances
„A Little Barrell of Lovely”
A cask of spicy rum is the inspiration for this "legendary" fragrance. I blind bought it just because I love Treasure Island and pirate stuff but it is actually a great scent!
First to the packaging: very thick, sturdy wooden barrel with metal hoops and an old-fashioned...
Oddly lacking in invention. Guess all the time was spent on coming up with a name.+5
Exactly like the original except a huge floral punch on first spray that dissipates in seconds.+1
Green fig, with roots and leaves, and a freshness that is not too sweet. The iris lurks around. Not like the original Figue-Iris.+2
Great reformulation: bright and fresh, very true to the original. Much recommended.+1
Sticky sweet, addictive, too much. When you already made a vanilla that is respected all over the world, why make another one? Poor effort.+2
Perfect iris: buttery, sweet, tart, creamy, rich. Unaffordable. Holy Grail of iris perfumes.+3
Beautiful fire-n-ice unisex scent: sweet, cold, uplifting, spicy, calming, warm, soothing. Lovely bottle. First thing I've liked from Creed.+5
Silver iris this is not: iris top but quickly moves to a delicious lipstick accord, drying down as too much fruit. Look for iris elsewhere+4
Piney non-medicinal oud without a lot of development. I wouldn't call it essential. Their Rose Nacree has a better oud note. Derivative.+2
Sweet and sour powdery rose. I don't get any leather or interesting Guerlain nuances. Less interesting than the widely-available EDP.+2

„Guerlain Cuir Beluga, Dior Cuir Cannage, Hermes Cuir d’Ange”
A vanilla and powder lover’s dream, soft suede leather perfumes
approximate the delicately-gloved rich lady who does not want to smell
dirty and animalistic. Guerlain did it the best: Cuir Beluga is all
about heliotrope and vanilla, with tiny wisps of amber and something
slightly earthy rising from time to time. Yes, it smells a bit like
pastry but there is not much sweetness there. All the powder-leathers
smell more like cashmere sweaters and the inside linings of suede coats

Wow, you may be one of the most active people here especially in case of Perfume blogs, that section is getting new articles really rarely :-)

It's a great pleasure to read your perfume blog. I like Masque Milano Russian Tea but my daughter asked me not to wear it when she's around...

Welcome to this charming site. It has so many boutique like features. The crowd is nice, too.

Welcome here, TPV! :-) I read your comment on the introduction topic, and after almost 1,5 year I can tell, that here the conversation goes usually calm and normal :-) Wish you all the best here!
