Miso-an
Interesting Facts
Miso-an consists of Shiro-an, a sugar- or honey-sweetened white beans paste, and Shiro-miso, a white Miso variety which has a sweet taste due to higher sugar content. Miso-an is a favored ingredient in traditional Japanese sweets such as Mochi (rice cake) and Manjū (bun).
