Vetiver - Frequency of the fragrance note
Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides or Chrysopogon zizanioides) is a grass from tropical regions. Its roots are the raw material for an aromatic oil. Being a fixative, Vetiver is often used in base notes. Vetiver from the isle of Réunion, called Bourbon-Vetiver, is considered to be the finest quality. The grass is also cultivated on Haiti and Java, in India and China.
