Catch a falling star
Yesterday a Bond star fell into my lap - just like the "Sterntaler" girl in the fairy tale of the same name.

And I have to admit that I also collect the Bond Stars diligently, because they are always pleasing, facing and friendly.

They are also of high quality and good durability.

So Noho also fits perfectly into my " starry sky ".

Sterntaler stands on a mossy soft meadow surrounded by violets - and catches the shining stars in her shirt.
The delicate mimosa emphasizes the fragility of this fairy tale figure.
The tangerine keeps the fragrance aquatic, and from the edge of the forest, woody notes waft across.

A fairytale scene - accompanied by a fairytale scent - which invites you to dream.

The Sterntaler girl sings softly :
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
never let it fade away
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket
save it for a rainy day.

I'm happy to take her advice.

Music by Perry Como.

A Near Perfect Representation of Linden Blossoms
This is a Linden blossom scent. It smells just like and only like Linden blossoms. As no real Linden blossoms are used in perfumes as the extraction process is too difficult and costly, other florals, along with synthetics, are used to replicate their scent. In this case a delicately done mimosa, blended with the amber, mimics the honey sweetness of Linden blossoms in nature, and the violet leaves contribute to that realism by adding a fresh, green, slightly aquatic dimension, while the moss and cashmere wood an earthy accord. There are no violet flowers in this scent, nor does it smell like any are in it. Violet flowers and violet leaves are very different and not indistinguishable. They smell nothing alike. That aside, the notes that are actually used here do capture the scent of Linden trees in bloom. It’s startling to me how much this fragrance resembles the actual flowers in nature.

Out of all the Linden blossom fragrances I've tried (DHS French Linden Blossom, April Aromatics Unter den Linden, Jo Malone French Lime Blossom, Fragonard Tilleul Cedrat, Oscar de La Renta Something Blue, to name a few), this is hands down the most realistic Linden blossom perfume yet, though I haven’t tried D’Orsay’s Tilleul, (which is considered the Holy Grail by some). It is a very realistic interpretation of the Linden trees growing in my town when they are in full bloom. The scent of clusters of bright sunny yellow florets, hanging down like little golden stars from the trees, is an intoxicating, earthy, honey sweet floral scent which ushers in the start of summer. I wore this on several occasions when the Linden trees were in bloom and was astonished by how close it smelled to the actual thing. Not exact, and let's face it, no perfume can ever match a true floral exactly, but enough that it satisfies my craving for when the trees are no longer in bloom.
In a few more weeks my town is going to be awash in the scent of Linden blossoms, and I will once again be astonished at how much this perfume captures their charms.

My First Shimmery Violet
Shimmery violet perfumes now abound: Balenciaga PARIS, Tom Ford VIOLET BLONDE, Dsquared2 SHE WOOD, the list continues to grow. The first perfume in this category which I ever tried was Bond no 9 EAU DE NOHO, and I love it still today, as I approach the bottom of my 100 ml bottle. (I won't actually be running out anytime soon because a while back I picked up a tester back-up.)

So why do I love this composition so? It certainly does not hurt that I love violets, but the story does not end with violets. The differences between this sort of composition and the many beautiful and natural-smelling violet soliflores in a more-or-less nineteenth-century style, including Borsari VIOLETTA DI PARMA, Berdoues VIOLETTES DE TOULOUSE, L'Artisan Parfumeur VERTE VIOLETTE, and Histoires de Parfums BLANC VIOLETTE, are many.

First, there is the glistening shimmery quality, which to me is like a coating of shellac has been applied to the violets--though fortunately they do not smell like shellac! Then there is a significant yellow powdery mimosa note, which adds richness. In addition, I believe that linden blossom is present here (and Michali agrees with me, see below), though it is not listed among the notes. I believe that it is the linden which really makes EAU DE NOHO stand out from the crowd.

To me EAU DE NOHO is the most natural of the shimmery violets, and although I like all of them to some degree, this one is my favorite, hands down. It also has excellent longevity and wafts so beautifully that I love to wear it when running around town.

Spring
The scent of a confident woman who walks through the metropolis leaving a wonderful sillage... and what a sillage!
Mandarin and green notes give way to a realistic, spring-like lime blossom, seductive and full of vitality.
Projecting yourself into spring with this fragrance, perhaps even in the coldest periods.
I appreciated it a lot, I like it and I find it original.
Unfortunately, the only flaw of some Bonds on me is the very short duration, and I'm very sorry, this is a fragrance that I would like to smell all day, it's so good.

Fresh, sparkling flowers. The kind of scent that makes you happy! (Not for men, highly feminine).
