Sleep in on Sunday and then Platinum Égoïste
Just recently I caught myself in such a moment that made me appreciate the Platinum Egoïste, like this one Sunday when I slept in late and first trotted sleepily into the bathroom.

The look in the mirror was borderline, as my crumpled face with all the pillow marks looked as if I had once again turned with friends at the nightly big wheel, although I stayed at home artfully due to pandemic.

The water temperature at the tap first of all turned to cold to counteract the monstrosity and the face wrinkles properly durchzuschruben.
Normally I shave myself wet with razor only weekdays during the week, because the employer on a well-groomed appearance value. Since the pandemic, only the contours from the ten-day beard to maintain.

So neat shaving foam on it on neck and neck and with acoustic Mukke of Damien Rice, David Gray from the Bose Bluetooth box come fitting finest vibes for the Sunday.
The whole thing rinse with water and while I with the towel the remaining foam from all
Openings wiped, laughed at me the Platinum Egoïste in my collection.
Splash on the wrist, neck, neck and shirt with simultaneous explosion of freshness.
This lavender and rosemary, which immediately shoots into the nose, is so refreshing that it immediately transports your body feeling in another league.
To date, I have not found a fragrance that gives one this enormous fresh masculine body feeling in such a natural way, which makes me appear so confident that I have to think long, which fragrance would be capable of similar.

Me this fragrance also always reminds me of my childhood, when my father has always unpacked the roof brush for the weekend before breakfast, swung the Gilette blades and then cycled to the bakery around the corner. On his lap it smelled always only in such a way after classical aftershave, which underpinned for me its self-confident kind always. I suspect times, that that aftershave also had lavender and fresh fragrance notes inne.

What makes Platinum Egoïste for me not the daddy fragrance. It is a fragrance that anyone can wear, who confidently goes through the day and also has a certain "masculine" self-confident appearance. The course I perceive at the beginning for about 1 hour was very fresh, then it becomes more and more floral and "softer" on my skin.
The intensity of the top note I would like to have even longer in the nose, because this distinguishes the fragrance for me.

Overall, I would classify him already so tendentially as Ü30 fragrance but for one or the other with security already earlier portable.
The durability and sillage are neat at about 6h, however, I have the impression that this earlier even stronger and more radiated.
In conclusion, I must say that this fragrance accompanies me very solid and confident through the day. When I wear this fragrance, I have the Chanel vibe. You put another one on top without screaming around.
The fragrance does not do somersaults but it also does not do somersaults, for which I love him.

So, this was my second comment on Parfumo and hopefully I could help undecided.

Have a nice Sunday together !

Why didn't you introduce yourself earlier?
I am constantly trying to keep my collection "clean". This includes that I want to have as few fragrances as possible that resemble each other. Exceptions confirm the rule, as always.

So it happened that a friend of mine sent me his remaining Platinum bottle. Although I already knew Platinum from a bottling, the fragrance experience straight from the bottle was as different as day and night. Was it because of the plastic of the sample vaporizer? Does the eye smell? I don't know. Anyway, I suddenly became a fan of Platinum. And I had to get my own new bottle Pre-commentators compare Platinum with Cool Water or Green Irish Tweed (both of which are known to be very similar, at least in the top note). And: You are right. Since Green Irish Tweed was in my collection until recently (you might have guessed it already), the similarity could be verified, the differences highlighted.

Where GIT with its verbena flair comes across as perhaps too old-fashioned, Platimun with its neroli and jasmine touch is somewhat less dogged in its appearance. Platinum is not necessarily light-footed, but very relaxed, less serious, but still serious. GIT has a certain muff at the end of its shelf life when dosed properly. Which I don't think is necessarily bad, but which doesn't match the previous course. Platinum remains more faithful in its development and says goodbye after a similarly long dwell time with a little more oakmoss and vetiver, but doesn't surprise you with an unpleasant drydown.

Platinum is attached to me for many hours, accompanies me reliably for a whole working day even in high temperatures and also amuses me in my free time. To recommend unconditionally, to all those who like freshness with a little substance, not averted from the scent of GITs, but who like to smell a little more modern. It should be mentioned that Platinum is in no way a modern creation of recent years, but has been around for 27 years. Were there any reforms? Maybe, I only know the current version.

GIT is still a brilliant fragrance for me, but had to give way to Platinum in my collection.

Thanks for reading it

One of the best fragrances of all time
When I smelled Chanel Platinum for the first time at Douglas in the summer of 2005, I put the fragrance strip which my girlfriend at the time gave me aside at first. I was looking for something that smelled like Heaven by Chopard, but different. Heaven was until then my absolute favorite fragrance, but had somehow worn off for me.
Now I can hardly believe those words, because Heaven (A Century men's fragrance) has been discontinued. But that's just how it is, you miss things only when they are no longer tangible, and then you suddenly know what you had in it.
I needed something new. The 90s were over, I was 29, my hair was short again and I just needed a breath of fresh air. I stood with Claudia in the Douglas and sniffed at everything that looked fresh and aquatic.

... "But smell again, this is really good".
So I smelled again. Hmmm...Right that's not bad at all. ...Ey that smells really good. ...Wow, that's really awesome.
Chanel Platinum Egoiste lasted a good ten years as my signature scent before the search began again. The search for the perfect scent, or the perfect one wave as the surfers say. The relationship broke up but Platinum lasted a long time. But the association with the woman was already too strong for me to continue using the scent. And now I find myself searching again. But I have been searching for 5 years. There is hardly a fragrance that smells so balanced and perfect as CPE.

I'm wearing it right now, and have to say that the scent has unfortunately been reformulated. It still smells exactly like it did in 2005 , but it is toned down today. The projection and sillage have diminished. If
one put on the fragrance in the early 2000s, it lasted easily 12 hours and one was approached by women outside the club because of it.

When spraying on spreads a cool, luxurious lavender note, with a touch of neroli. Slightly soapy and metallic, minimally floral, but not feminine. If you put on Platinum Egoiste, you smell damn good.
My ex wanted to eat me up every time so good is this perfume, and women would randomly approach me about it. When I smell it anywhere, I immediately think "man that smells good...Platinum, good taste." Timeless, luxurious, masculine and easily in the top 25 best fragrances of all time. If you've never smelled the fragrance, you should definitely do so, it's an incredibly good perfume. I envy anyone who can rediscover it for themselves now

The Companion
The "One"
Who does not know the myth of the signature scent In search of security, individuality and masculinity. A fragrance that is always there, like family or friends.
It becomes loud when it gets hot, it caresses you in quiet moments.
It has the quality for a signature scent.

How would I describe the fragrance from a layman's perspective?
Initially fresh, spicy, green dry then clean after expensive soap. "No sweet powdery scent."

First of all, it is not a party clubbing scent, but it does have the potency for a flirt in everyday life.
The age group he addresses is currently at Ü30, so my feeling is.
Is really, as so often described, the cool water for adults.
If U30 people feel addressed, then please, allowed is what pleases. He's worth getting to know.
Dislikers would describe it as old-fashioned, but these are the ones who complain when a 69 Ford Mustang has no servo or electric windows.
I would even wear it to a funeral, which for some would be a knockout criterion right now.
For me a testimony of his quality for a real Daily.
As he performed in summer I can't say, the love is still fresh ;-)
In general I quickly reach working temperature (I am a craftsman).
And he's doing pretty good.
So nu is but good....

P. P.

The beginning
My first comment must of course be on my first true scent revelation! It was about 1995, I was a 11 year old youngster like I used to be every day at my neighbours or my best friend's home and how to do that you go into the rooms of the bigger siblings... there we were in the room of his big sister we looked at her cd collection and next to it stood at least 50 miniflacons of various perfumes my eye fell somehow directly to egoiste Platinum and I opened the small and smelled on it and it would have me away this special fragrance was different than anything I knew! (father an Azzaro pour Homme man and grandpa a Tabac carrier) I had Old Spice because I liked the advertising already as a small pimf and it smelled clean after man what I knew from my men in the family so! Chanel I knew only from my grandmother and until then I thought the make women's products

My mom got me this for graduation in ‘98. Thank God she did. This is a 90s take on barbershop fougere with a metallic feel. Rotation staple.

Less powerful and less clear-cut than Égoïste, but brilliant. A fern-green eau de toilette. An energetic accord of fresh and aromatic notes.
