today I would like to talk about a little classic the
Enigma pour Homme Parfum !
I have known this fragrance for a LONG time, in the sense from 2017 to 2021 I had 2 full bottles and then from 2022 no more.
But why?
As far as I know, it was also adjusted in 2022 for the purpose of the big reformulation wave, even if it wasn't extreme in the end, it was noticeable and for me (!) so much that I turned my back on the Roja Dove brand. In the end, I never had an extreme number of them, but the performance and the price in the comparison were not suitable for me....
A few weeks ago (early February), I got another old
Enigma pour Homme Parfum from 2015 "by chance". And in that respect, Roja is the same as, for example, XJ, PDM and co. = seeing + getting old batches is almost impossible, or mega difficult and expensive :P .
Oh, one more thing. My review is therefore aimed more at the batch up to 2021 and NOT those from 2022 onwards!

What does it smell like?
You could now say COLA and YES this is also true, but it doesn't do the fragrance justice. Because we now have an extremely authentic and high-quality cola note and no synthetic crap ("), plus a smoky note, with a portion of cognac, some wood and some spices and after 6h in the drydown it becomes a little softer. At the end of the day, it's one of the fragrances that doesn't undergo a drastic development like some others from the brand.
But does this bother .... 0!
About the performance!
Here we are at a good to very good, whereby I would gladly take an 8.75. Because that's really good, but still a long way from a BRECHER/ MONSTER/ BIEST that lasts 16 hours, which is ultimately ok, because you don't always want to wear something like that (so I don't).
Something else important!
99% of the fragrances from Roja (exceptions include
Isola Blu Parfum ,
Elysium Parfum Cologne Eau de Parfum ,
Elysium pour Homme Parfum ,
Elysium Eau Intense ) I see as from 25+ / 30+ and sometimes even more mature. Very often they have something very mature/ a subtle old school vibe and the
Enigma pour Homme Parfum (old or new) also has that. Means I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to a 20 year old - just by the way!
When and where do you wear it?
The Roja fragrances want an upscale and special occasion and the
Enigma pour Homme Parfum is in my opinion not a DAILY, because it is somehow too special! Fall, winter and spring (the beginning) that's where I see it!
About the price and is the fragrance worth the price....?
It's really mega hard for me to say "yes man" or "100% no", because yes (!) it's already a hit (and now an important point), you can already notice the fine tuning, the high-quality aspect and you can already tell that it's the same with (most!) fragrances from the house - oh come on, let's add something better/more expensive...
Many houses in the niche sector, such as MFK, work primarily on a purely synthetic basis,
but here you can already notice a certain difference in quality!!!!
My conclusion on the subject of price, purchase and recommendation ...,
IF you find a leftover bottle, take it and, if possible, do NOT pay the new price,
then I recommend certain fragrances of the house, such as this one!
If I really wasn't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
