Interesting Facts
The development of the American fashion label "Abercrombie & Fitch" can certainly be described as unusual. Initially, the merchant David Abercrombie founded a store for camping and outdoor accessories in Manhattan in 1892. One of his most loyal customers at the time was the lawyer Ezra Fitch, who became Abercrombie's partner in 1900. The product range changed to include shoes and women's clothing. However, the partnership between the two entrepreneurs collapsed in 1907 due to differing ideas regarding expansion plans. Fitch continued the business on his own, opening additional stores in several states. Despite these efforts, "Abercrombie & Fitch" had to close in 1977 due to bankruptcy. The resurrection in 1988 surprised especially the fashion world, because from then on the brand focused on young and trendy women's and men's fashion. Today, "Abercrombie & Fitch" sells its fashion under the labels "Hollister", "Gilly Hicks", "Abercrombie Kids", "Ruehl No.925" (discontinued in 2010) and of course under its own name.

The fragrances of "Abercrombie & Fitch" are unusual and broad. The perfumes are also aimed primarily at young people and the young at heart. The "No. 1" collection is particularly popular with female buyers. The aromas of this series are all characterized by a floral-fruity note (mandarin, pear, jasmine, orange blossom), which gradually unfolds in the wearer. For ladies who prefer a decidedly sweet fragrance, the "8" collection was created with tonka bean, poppy and bergamot, which is considered particularly seductive.

The men's series from "Abercrombie & Fitch" is called "Fierce." It includes perfumes, deodorants, shower gels, an aftershave and several different gift sets. The basic ingredients used for these are as original as they are exotic. Sandalwood, musk, dark amber, cedarwood, basil or sage are just some of the ingredients.

"Abercrombie & Fitch" maintains its own stores in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Europe and Asia. In addition, the fragrances (and of course all fashion creations and accessories) are available in the company's own online store.
