The man behind the British perfume brand is London-born Nick Steward. Steward found his way into the perfume world rather by accident. A linguist with excellent Arabic and French skills, he was recruited by a global fashion and beauty company. Shortly afterwards, he decided to join French niche perfume house L'Artisan Parfumeur, where he spent eight years as creative and product director. This professional move laid the foundation for his own company, which he founded soon after. In 2017, Gallivant's first six fragrances were released.

Steward's fragrance collections are an olfactory journey through the essence of different cities around the world. Each fragrance is designed to capture the unique atmosphere, culture and distinctive character of a particular place.

"I'm trying to capture a mood, so it's a personal story to me. It's photos I've taken, music I’ve heard, the languages, people I know. Essentially, it’s my travel notebooks translated into scent."
