In 2015, the young perfume house Initio Parfums Privés, based in Dubai, went to market with seven unisex fragrances after four years of intensive research at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
The company's Latin name, Initio, has two meanings: First, "From the beginning," and thus the goal of returning to the origins of perfume as a healing and magical force; second, "initiate," and thus the idea of allowing people to experience the power and mystery of perfumes.
For Nadia, Creative Director of Initio Parfums, New Generation Perfume is not just a lifestyle product that smells good. Instead, she sees perfume as a powerful and magical tool that enchants and appeals to the emotions and the subconscious of each person.
Her interest in perfumes was sparked by Patrick Süskind's book. She focuses on the product, not her person which is why she does not share her last name or her professional career with the public.
Her interest is focused on perfumes with a positive aura as well as an aphrodisiac power, which comes from precious natural ingredients as well as chemical fragrance molecules such as Hedione.
Therefore, at Initio, master perfumers and perfumers work closely with chemists. They enjoy a lot of freedom in the development process, the most precious raw materials, and an unlimited financial budget. So nothing stands in the way of their creativity and imagination. The goal is to create fragrances that radiate optimism, happiness, seduction, and passion.
A well-known perfumer at Initio is Alberto Morillas, who developed Journey for Amouage. Other well-known noses are Maurice Roucel (e.g. Musk Ravageur for Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle), Pierre-Constantin Guéros (e.g. New York Intense for Fragrance du Bois) and Alexandra Kosinski (e.g. Athalia for Parfums de Marly).
Initio has launched five collections and recommends layering The Absolutes with Magnetic Blends to create a highly individual fragrance.
The Absolutes collection harnesses the power of precious natural ingredients and is based on ancient formulas.
For the Magnetic Blends collection, a German scientist developed artificial notes that replicate the natural pheromones of musk and ambergris.
The Carnal Blends collection uses the fragrance molecule Hedion for the seductive power of its floral notes.
The Hedonist Collection stands for pleasure and new beginnings. It focuses on natural ingredients and harmony.
The fifth collection "The Black Gold Project" consists of the very successful fragrance "The Oud of Greatness".
