Interesting Facts
If you want to dress like a true gentleman, the men's label "Kniže" is the ultimate choice for you. The traditional company has been evolving its style for years while incorporating an elegant touch.

The company was founded in 1858 by Josef Kniže - a tailor, born in Bohemia who initially produced sportswear in his workshop. Under the direction of his son (from 1880), "Kniže" advanced to become a leading and award-winning brand as early as 1873. From 1874, the label became the court outfit of several Arab states, completely ousted the British suppliers of men's fashion from the market, and even supplied many princes and royal families. Over the decades, the label's clientele included celebrities like Kurt Tucholsky, Josephine Baker, Fritz Lang, Marlene Dietrich, and Billy Wilder. It later moved to downtown Vienna, opened more stores, launched professional PR campaigns, and new collections.

Kniže faced many difficulties after the Second World War. Important Czech locations fell away, branches in Paris and New York also had to close. Only new investors and an equally stylish women's collection were able to save the brand.

The assortment of "Kniže" includes casual fashion for men (pants, sweatshirts, caps), loungewear (stockings, shorts, socks), men's cosmetics (aftershave, perfumes), and accessories (ties, belts, scarves, cufflinks, pocket squares, wallets). "Kniže" offers everything that high-end men need to stand out in public.
