Interesting Facts
"Lancaster" is a cosmetics and skincare label with an unusual origin story. Would you believe that the products should smell like aviation fuel?
During World War II, Royal Air Force bomber pilot Georges Wurz found himself on the Côte d'Azur, where he met chemist Dr. Eugene Frezzati. Both men sought a challenge after the war and decided to develop and market high-end beauty products. And since Georges Wurz flew a bomber named "Avro Lancaster," the "Lancaster" label was born.
Since the company was based in Monaco, it promptly found its niche target group. Knowing that there were many social changes in fashion, art, and culture in the 1960s, Lancaster opened its first beauty institute in Paris in 1965.
A few years later, the label supported the feminist movement by releasing an exclusive collection for Princess Gracia Patricia of Monaco. Simultaneously, the brand expanded its range by launching its first sunscreen products. The protection factor was researched and developed in the 80s, as was the entire range. The result was astonishing and led to many innovations in the cosmetics industry such as the first oxygen cosmetics (1993) or a new repair formula for sun protection (1997). Since then, "Lancaster" has become one of the leading producers of high-quality science-based cosmetics.
The range includes skin products, sunscreen, repair, touch-ups, cover products, and various cleansing essences. Since the products are all based on each other, they can be combined during application.

Je ne regrette rien
I wake up, blinking into the warm morning rays. The sunlight kisses the tip of my nose. The freckles you thought were so cute yesterday wink knowingly at each other. You are a witness.
My gaze wanders over the traces of last night. But you are no longer...
