Les Parfums de Rosine

Marie-Hélène Rogeon has two passions: Perfume and roses. Born into a family of perfumers - her great-grandfather Louis Panafieu created eau de colognes for Napoleon III and a famous pomade for the musketeers to fix their mustaches - she was fascinated at a very early age by the world of exquisite bottles, fragrances, floral brands and silk ribbons. Her grandfather, a plant expert and perfumer, created fragrances for Paul Poiret for a long time. At the time, he called his fragrances "Les Parfums de Rosine" as a tribute to his eldest daughter Rosine - fragrances Marie-Hélène Rogeon grew up with.

It was in the major perfume houses, where she began her career and held senior positions (including for Balmain and Givenchy), that she realized the importance of perfumes to her own life. This profound experience led her to start her own company at a time when women were tired of commercial perfumery and looking for real creations that had a story to tell. To this day, she remembers scented boxes in her grandfather's attic, and so it was one of his creations that Marie-Hélène Rogeon used to revive Les Parfums de Rosine in 1991 at the Palais Royal, in the heart of Paris. In doing so, she laid the foundation for a company concept that is still unique today, and with each new fragrance she shows that a rose is more than just a rose.

Marie-Hélène Rogeon has created a collection of rose perfumes, all very different - from the refreshing "Un Zest de Rose" to the sensual "Une Folie de Rose". For the perfumer, rose essence and rose absolute are the quintessence of all great perfumes and for her the reason to create rose perfumes exclusively. Her main concern is to offer fragrances - all based on natural essences - which are immediately understood. Each component of her fragrances can be recognized while developing the scent on the skin.

The presentation of her fragrances is also an important concern for Marie-Hélène Rogeon. All bottles wear a different colored silk cord and are placed in their box wrapped in colored tissue paper. Each bottle is hand-packed by experienced workers.

Many of the Rosine fragrances were created by perfumer Henri Alméras, who also created several legendary Jean Patou fragrances, while others are by Emannuel Bouler, Maurice Shaller, Francoise Robert, Pierre Bourdon and Camille Latron.
