The man behind the French perfume house Parfum d'Empire is Marc-Antoine Corticchiato. Born in Morocco, he spent his youth among the country's lemon fields and Corsican forests in Cuttoli Corticchiato, his family's hometown. Despite his passion for competitive sports, Marc-Antoine decided to study chemistry and trained at the ISIPCA in Versailles, a renowned school for perfumers. With this ideal starting point, he founded his own perfume house in 2003.
Inspired by history, the name "Parfum d'Empire" refers to the time of the First French Empire under Napoleon Bonaparte. The fragrances also often pay homage to important historical events, personalities and places.
