The creative mind behind the label "Roccobarocco" is the Italian designer Rocco Muscariello, born in Naples in 1944. He spent his childhood and youth in Ischia, where he discovered his love for fashion as a teenager. Muscariello gained practical experience in a boutique and attended the "Academy of Fine Arts" in Rome in 1962.
In 1964, Rocco started the eponymous brand and mainly produced exclusive, high-end haute couture collections with an emphatically feminine style. In 1974, the "Roccobarocco" label launched a spacious studio in Rome then introduced a prêt-à-porter collection in 1979.
