Interesting Facts

The French city of Grasse is considered one of the most notable fragrance capitals in the world because of its lush raw materials and aromas. The niche label "Urban Scents" started there.

Not only did Alexander Urban and his now wife Marie Urban-Le Febvre connect romantically when they first met, but also by their passion for nature, outdoors, aviation and fragrances. Therefore, they decided to make their dream of creating rare and high-quality perfumes come true, and finally bring their own perfume house "Urban Scents" to life in 2014, based in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin.

Marie Urban-Le Febvre, a chemist by training, conceives the scents in a small fragrance studio, and combines up to 60 different ingredients. The formulas are then mixed in Grasse exactly to her specifications. Her husband Alexander Urban, CEO of "Urban Scents" is in charge of the brand's marketing.

The perfumes intend to fill the classic French luxury fragrances with a fresh and lively spirit of the metropolis of Berlin, while appealing to as many senses as possible. The label wants its creations to evoke strong and positive memories as a painting, a song, or a taste can.

Through these sensory experiences, "Urban Scents'' can do without fancy flacons. All the bottles are rectangular, deep blue and have a silver cap. The label is adorned with a propeller, a reference to the founding couple's passion for flying.

Fragrance portals, drugstores and the label's online store offer all these noble fragrances. In addition, there is also a detailed "olfactory training" on the homepage. The best place to go in Germany is the store in Charlottenburg.
