Interesting Facts
At the age of 15, Valentino Garavani set foot in Paris, thrilled to learn all the ins and outs of the fashion industry only to eventually build his fashion empire in the future, to which he gave his name. The breakthrough came in 1962 when the fashion designer brought his partner Giancarlo Giammetti into the company as Managing Director at Valentino. This allowed Valentino to fully concentrate on the creative part and design the haute couture fashion he had in mind.

Part of the success of "Valentino" goes back to the top-notch, out of the box thinking of the brand.

For example, it also introduced a prêt-à-porter collection in 1969, a men's line in 1972, and the first women's fragrance in 1977.
In addition, new collections are brought to life every year, while other fragrances and fashion lines are discontinued. This makes Valentino always top-notch and eye-catching, which is why the brand is now one of the international global players. Among women's fragrances, "Voce Viva", "Donna" and "Born in Roma" are among the classics, while men tend to prefer "Uomo".

But the Valentino portfolio is no longer limited to fashion and fragrances. The big modern "VLTN" can also be found on handbags and shoulder bags, boots, pumps and sneakers, jewelry, caps, glasses, and scarves, as well as on numerous accessories. Even collars and tote bags for dogs and cats are offered by Valentino.

Since 2005, the luxury brand has belonged to the "Valentino Fashion Group," a corporate network owned by Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamīm bin Hamad ath-Thānī.
