Pierre Bourdon's career began in 1971 at the Roure Bertrand Dupont perfumery in Grasse where he had the opportunity to work with Edmond Roudnitska - creator of many fragrances like "Diorella", "Diorissimo" and "Femme de Rochas". He returned to Roure in Paris after five years of advanced training, where he specialized in body care products.
During his eleven years at Roure, "Kouros" (Yves Saint Laurent) were among his first success stories.

He became co-founder and chief perfumer of Takasago Europe in 1982, where he stayed for nine years and created revolutionary fragrances such as Davidoff "Cool Water" and Jil Sander Sun.

In 1991, he moved to Quest to become a chief perfumer and added fragrances such as "Fantasme" (Ted Lapidus) and "Féminité du Bois" (Shiseido) to his list of successes.

The French branch of Fragrance Resources was founded in Paris in 1993. Pierre Bourdon continues his work and is considered one of the best perfumers there.
